More than 15 years ago, I had the privilege of volunteering in a program supporting incarcerated women, pregnant mothers, mothers with infants, and young children in Thailand.
Through yoga, qigong, meditation, chanting, mindful movement, and mother-and-child bonding practices, I witnessed something that has stayed with me throughout my life:
Healing begins with dignity, connection, and compassionate presence.
Even within the most challenging environments, people can rediscover hope when they are given the opportunity to care for their bodies, calm their minds, and nurture meaningful relationships.
This experience deeply shaped my understanding of wellness and continues to influence my work today.
Yoga is not about perfect poses.
It is about creating space for healing, resilience, self-awareness, and human connection.
As we remember the visionary leadership and compassion of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha, I reflect with gratitude on the lessons learned through service and the profound impact that mindful practices can have on individuals, families, and communities.
May we continue to create spaces where every person is treated with dignity, compassion, and hope.
