Happy Sunday!
Arnold Schwarzenegger once said: "The road to success is always under construction. It is a long, winding road with unexpected twists and turns."
Usually, we hate construction. We hate the "Road Work Ahead" signs, the detours, and the feeling of being slowed down when we just want to get to our destination. We treat the "under construction" phases of our lives as something to get through as quickly as possible.
But what if the construction is the success?
In our yoga community, we don’t believe in a "perfect" pose. We believe in an intentional pace. Some days your road is a straight line; other days, an unexpected twist in your health, your mood, or your schedule forces a detour.
Remember:
Detours aren't failures: They are just different routes to the same soul.
Maintenance is mandatory: You can't keep a road open if you never stop to repair the foundation.
The "work" is the goal: Being "under construction" means you are still building, still growing, and still moving.
When we practice yoga together, we aren't trying to reach a finish line. We are simply working on the road. We are strengthening the bridge between our breath and our bodies so that when the "unexpected twists" come, we don't break—we just pivot.
This week, embrace your "under construction" sign. Give yourself permission to move at an intentional pace. There is no rush to get to the end of a road that is meant to be enjoyed.
Come walk the path with us this week. Every turn is welcome here.
With love and persistence,
