Japanese Acupuncture Dedicated to celebrating health and well being, Japanese Acupuncture embodies caring attention with the highest standard. Frank Aoi feels right at home.

The secret of good health is in a balance of the mind and body. Western science has finally been catching up with evidence which suggests mental health impacts physical wellbeing. Japanese Acupuncture excels in achieving the goal, and in so doing, rediscovering a healing power of our mind and body. Located in the Downtown Phoenix Arts District in the Alta Phoenix Lofts, Y. Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, Frank attended San Francisco Art Institute, studying painting and photography. He worked at De Young Museum, published two books of his art photography then went on to own contemporary art galleries in both Santa Fe, NM and New York City.. His own health issues led him to the healing powers of acupuncture, as well as massage, craniosacral therapy, and reiki. Frank holds a Diplomat of Oriental Medicine from NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture). He is licensed in Arizona and New Mexico. What Is Acupuncture? Acupuncture has over 2000 years of history with clinically proven medical results. It is based on empirical studies on human bodies, and is not based on mysticism or philosophy. Its concept, the balance of Yin & Yang, or the homeostasis of polar opposites, has not changed. Acupuncture points used thousands of years ago are still used today. Acupuncture does not have a similar anatomy to Western science, instead it has tested effective functions. The major difference between acupuncture and Western science is that acupuncture treats the body as a whole. Sterile and disposal needles are gently inserted in the body along the acupuncture energetic channels, called meridians. Japanese Acupuncture technique is non-invasive and painless to many.

Vinegared red onion: so easy to make, so tasty. Add vinegar and red onion, fill with water and that's it. Add very small amount of honey: add just enough, so that you don't taste its sweetness.

Here Are My Suggestions: remember, I cannot override your doctor’s orders.

On Drugs:
1). Read side effects and memories them as much as you.
When you start feeling the effects, call your doctor immediately and ask for his/her opinions.

2). When a doctor offers you a drug, ask 3-5 more names of drugs that do the same as your doctor’s recommendation.
Ask side effects of each drug.
Ask dosage of each drug, ask why a particular dosage: why 5mg, why 500mg, etc.

3). This time, YOU choose the drug among 4-8 drugs your doctor is suggesting according to
the dosage and the side effects.

On Cancer:
Surviving cancer is all about the liver functions.
If the liver weakened, cancer spreads or reoccur.
You can check the liver enzymes: ALT/AST.
Important: change your body to alkaline, pH of 7.0 minimum up to 8.0
Drink and eat foods that are alkaline.
De-stress as much as you can.

On RA:
It is an autoimmune disease.
Currently, I do not think anyone can cure autoimmune diseases.
You need to have a steady plan of actions.
However, acupuncture is the best and fastest medium to reduce pain and
treat the autoimmune.
Make sure you massage the affected areas and move the joints as often as possible.
Apply natural remedies such as cream or muscle relaxers.

On Your Mental Health:
Have a support group, or more friends to talk to, better.
Do not get discouraged.
Get rid of two sentences in your mind:
1: “I try.”
2: “I am trying.”
As long as you are saying “trying”, I know that you do not know.
Either you DO or you DON’T when come to your personal health.
No one can really help you.

On Diet:
Most important aspect of your recovery.
Some are easier: such as cutting down on sugar, carbohydrates, alcohol, and smoking.
If you are feeding poisons to your system, nothing gonna work and NO ONE CAN HELP YOU.
Study more about diet and practice.

Good luck.

Just like anyone, I learn by a hard way.
I didn't know the difference between two different kinds of cinnamone.
One is Cassia (Cinnamomum cassia) and Ceylon (Cinnamomum verum). Well, Cassia definitely increases the liver enzyme level and do NOT take it. Most commercially advertised cinnamon is Cassia. They don't tell you. When a package does not tell if cinnamon is Ceylon or a place of origin, don't buy it.
Buy Ceylon cinnamon from Ceylon not from China/Southeast Asia. I called one website to buy cinnamon because they advertised as Ceylon but they didn't tell me where it was coming from.
As with any foods these days, be careful and take a short time to research.

Can you answer correctly to this desire-question?

"My baby just died. Please bring his life back, I beg you, please!"

There are only a few people out there on our planet who can correctly answer to a mother who just lost her baby, or to any other tragic circumstances.

What would you say if you were in this situation?

Good luck.

As of 8/15/2026, my regular treatment price goes up to $100.
Price for cancer treatments remains the same.

Someone asked me about the vagus nerves, and I replied " that's all I do".

The body never lies: any physical ailments AND what you are thinking in the head must show up in the body.
This is where all MDs fail: not palpating the body thoroughly and ask about psychological state of mind.

It is tantamount to treat the vagus nerves if the whole body were to heal,
physiologically and mentally.

On Suffering:
What do you say to a woman losing a baby at birth? What do you say to a Japanese woman who asked Dalai Lama where she could place the heart after losing her husband and son in tusunami?

If you can properly respond to a tragedy and correctly answer the question, you are attuned to the Universe.

Namaste.

A few weeks ago, a woman came back to see me for severe skin cracking, bleeding, discoloration of the skin, and pain. She also has a American herbalist for Chinese herb formula. At the beginning, I was afraid that it could be schleroderma: it was not, but the conditions were severe.

In a few sessions, her brown skin tone had started to subside, becoming white. Yesterday, she came over and she looked beatiful; she gained back her natural skin tone except around the ankles and the feet. No more dry skin, cracking, and bleeding. Her facial expression is much better and complexion was normal.

Yet, she was only focusing on the negativity, that her hands and feet were still tingling and painful. Never acknowledging the positives.

If my treatments were for cosmetic, she would be hugging me with joy
and will book series of sessions at more than $20G.

Negative mind only gives you suffering no matter what. When your symptoms are getting better, thanks the people who are trying to help you. Grateful that you are not alone and that knowing you have someone to help you.

Over the years, many, including my friends, ask me if I did cosmetic acupuncture. I have never done to this day even though I learned about it. One reason was that I was never interested in it even though I knew I would make more money.

I am more interested in pure medical approach to acupuncture. I love to observe and to see how sick people improve in a short time (compare to some western medicine approaches).
I love to see the facial expression and posture change after acupuncture treatments. I love to see how the skin tone changes from dark to normal color. I love to see people conquer diabetes and cancer. I love to see people loosing weight and become healthy. I love to see people get better with anxiety issues and discover their true Self for the first time. I love to see people get painless for the first time in their lives. And most of all it is great to see how resilient we humans are!

For certainty, I am NOT for everyone, but once people understand how I approach health (sometimes by barking at you😄), certain people wake up and change their lives.

Since I mentioned about cosmetic acupuncture above, here is a simple idea to loose weight and be beautiful.

1: As you might know that the intestinal lining is like the skin, the skin and the intestine will affect each other; therefore make sure you have the optimal digestive function. Takkr probiotic and enzyme.
2: First thing in the morning before breakfast, place a thin slice of lemon into a cup of warm water and drink.
(apple cidar vinegar drink is also good).
3: Place small amount of cinnamon (from Ceylon) in coffee, tea, or on egg, oat meal, etc.
3: Eat handful of blueberries (anthocyanin), or drink tomato juice (lycopene).
4: Place moringa powder to almost all drinks and foods.
5: All of the above do not need to be large amount but small amount everyday.
5: Spices I recommend.
Cinnamone from Ceylon
Tumeric with a pinch of black pepper to absorb turmeric better.
Cacao: heart and blood flow.
Powdered cloves: digestion and anti-inflammation.
Moringa: bone, fatigue
All of the above are good for sugar metabolism.
Last: careful with oxalate rich foods and cut down on potassium intakes. Too much intakes of these may cause kidney and heart dysfunctions.

Good luck.
