This season is harder than I expected. I’m pulled in 20 different directions all day long: attempting to clean my home, laundry, the kids, my husband, appointments, groceries, meals, etc…. There’s been some give and take to also take care of myself and my health.
What I’m willing to “slack on” currently:
- swapping to paper plates and bowls (the less dishes the better)
- having an uncluttered home (literally impossible)
- worrying about microplastics and seed oils (give me all of the shortcuts please)
- looking put together (not high on the priority list currently)
How I’m maintaining my health in other ways:
- non-toxic cookware (other than microplastics in those steamable vegetables)
- glass storage containers
- non toxic cleaning products
- getting sunshine throughout the day
- depending on my meal plans (that you also can have to save you during hard seasons)
When you have to make choices, pick the macros and don’t worry about the micros.
Macros:
-whole, real food
-sunshine
-relationships
-movement
-sleep
-low tox choices (cookware, food storage, cleaning products, body products)
Micros:
Literally everything else
Eventually we’ll get to a point where we can focus on more micros but now is not the time.
