You can be mentally “fine” and still have a body that’s absolutely buried in stress.

Because your nervous system doesn’t only have to deal with deadlines, money problems and screaming kids.

… It also has to deal with the way you’re asking your body to function all day.

And some of the most common stressors look suspiciously like “normal life.”

☕ Running out the door with coffee and no breakfast.
🕑 Realizing it’s 2 PM and you haven’t eaten lunch.
🍫 Hitting a wall every afternoon and reaching for something sweet just to keep going.
💧 Forgetting water exists until your p*e is basically brown.
🏋️ Pushing through the workout because exercise is “good for you.”
🧠 Finally sitting down at night, but never really shutting off.

None of these things seem particularly dramatic.
That’s the point.

We’ve been taught to think about stress as the BIG stuff.

But your body is also responding to dozens of smaller physical demands all day long.

And when enough of them pile up?

… That bucket starts to overflow.

You probably can’t eliminate the kids’ clutter, the bills, the job or the 900 things that need your attention.

But you can stop unnecessarily adding to the load.

And no, that does NOT mean creating another perfect wellness routine you now have to maintain.

There are 5 surprisingly common stressors I look at first, and 5 foundational ways I’d start supporting your body before worrying about another supplement, protocol or cortisol hack.

I put all of it inside The Cortisol Reset.

It’s free.

One of the biggest things I see in my nutrition therapy practice?

Women accidentally riding the blood sugar roller coaster all day long.

☕ Coffee instead of breakfast.

🥯 A carb-heavy lunch with very little protein.

🍫 The 3 pm crash.

☕ Another coffee.

🍪 Sugar cravings after dinner.

🤩 Tired, but wired at night.

Then wondering why they feel exhausted, irritable, inflamed, and like their hormones are “broken.”

Your hormones are doing exactly what they’re designed to do.

Responding.

Blood sugar isn’t the only piece of the puzzle, but it’s one of the most powerful because it sends signals to your body multiple times a day.

And unlike many aspects of hormone health, it’s something you can begin influencing with every meal.

That’s exactly why I created Blood Sugar Reset.

To help you understand what your body has been trying to tell you all along.

Hot take: Clear p*e isn’t the flex you think it is.

If you’re constantly chugging water but still feel tired, foggy, bloated, or thirsty…

You might just be flushing your minerals down the toilet.

Hydration isn’t just about drinking more.

… It’s about helping your body actually use the water you’re drinking.

Save this for the next time someone tells you to “just drink more water.”

You don’t need perfect conditions.

You need to stop negotiating with yourself.

The version of you that starts imperfectly will always outperform the version that’s still waiting to be “ready.”

Just begin. 🤍

The first meal of your day does more than satisfy hunger.

It tells your body whether today is a day to keep running on stress… or a day to settle into a more stable rhythm.

So many women wake up, grab coffee, power through responsibilities, answer everyone’s needs first, and don’t eat until noon.

Then they wonder why they’re exhausted by 2 p.m., craving sugar, snapping at their kids, or feeling like they need another coffee.

Your body isn’t failing you.

It’s running on stress hormones because that’s all you’ve given it.

A balanced breakfast, especially one rich in protein, helps provide the building blocks your brain and body need after an overnight fast.

It also supports steadier blood sugar, improves fullness, and makes it easier to meet your nutrient needs for the day.

More stable energy.
Fewer cravings.
Better focus.
More capacity for the life I’m actually trying to live.

Wellness isn’t the destination.

It’s the vehicle that gives you the capacity to live the life you actually want.

That’s why I care less about the latest wellness trend and more about the habits you’ll still be doing a year from now.

The boring basics aren’t boring when they change your life.

If you want to simplify your wellness routine, comment STACKS and I’ll send you my free Habit Stacks guide.

The TOOLS ↓

We don’t have a supplement deficiency
… We have an environment deficiency.

We wake up to alarms instead of sunlight.
Spend all day under artificial light.
Stare at screens until bed.

Then wonder why we’re exhausted, anxious, craving sugar, or wide awake at 10 p.m.
Your body isn’t just responding to what you eat.

It’s responding to the signals you give it all day long:

Light ➔ it’s morning.
Darkness ➔ it’s time to repair.
Movement ➔ resources are available.
Food ➔ energy is coming.

These are the instructions your hormones have relied on for thousands of years.

That’s why my approach is:
Biology first.
Supplements second.

If you can...
☀️ Get outside within an hour of waking
🌴 Spend time outdoors throughout the day
🌙 Dim the lights after sunset
📵 Reduce screens before bed

… Do that.

Nature is still the gold standard.
… But real life isn’t always built around biology.

💻 Some mornings I’m working before sunrise.
🥵 Some days it’s too hot to spend much time outside.
🕚 Some evenings I still have work to finish after my son goes to bed.

… So instead of chasing perfection, I use tools that help close the gap.

🌞Morning sunlight whenever I can.
🏮Red light before I get out of bed.
😎Blue light blockers after sunset.
💡Warmer lighting in the evening.

Not because they’re better than nature, but because they help me live a little closer to it.

If you’ve been curious about the red light panel I use almost every day, comment RLT and I’ll send you the link. 🏮Tomorrow is the last day it’s on sale- 45% off.

I was trying to solve an energy problem with discipline and productivity.

I’ve spent so much of my life believing that if I could just become more disciplined, everything else would fall into place.

A better routine.

A cleaner house.

A shorter to-do list.

More motivation.

Today I looked around my house and felt that familiar urge to stay home and catch up.

Instead, I drove to the creek.

I talked with a friend.

I watched my son disappear into play.

I sat in cold water.

I breathed under the trees.

A few hours later, I drove home.

The dishes were still there.

The laundry was still waiting.

The trip still needed to be packed for.

But for the first time all day, I wanted to participate in my life again.

That’s what I’m starting to realize.

I’ve spent years trying to white-knuckle my way into becoming a more responsible person.

But responsibility doesn’t always begin with more discipline.

Sometimes it begins with giving your nervous system enough safety, connection, rest, and joy that it actually wants to rejoin your life.

I didn’t come home with a shorter to-do list.

I came home with the energy to face it.

80% of my list still got done.

I had a great day out with my son + friends.

… AND had enough energy, peace and patience to actually enjoy it all (and still made it to bed at 9pm 🙌🏼)

Today was the perfect reminder that maybe productivity isn’t something we force

… it’s something that naturally follows regulation. 🤍
