Dr Farrington was and is a blessing to us all here at Catalina Animal Hospital. He loves our animals and he loves making sure that they live the best life possible. If you have pictures of your pets at the clinic, please share them with us and you never know when your pet might show up here on one of our postings.

Pyometra is a serious infection that causes the uterus to fill with pus in unspayed female dogs and cats. It can develop after a heat cycle and quickly become life-threatening.

⚠️ Signs to watch for: • Lethargy
• Loss of appetite
• Increased thirst and urination
• Vomiting
• Vaginal discharge
• Swollen abdomen

The best prevention is spaying your pet before problems arise. Spaying not only prevents pyometra but also helps protect against other reproductive diseases.
