More than 100 hours of volunteering. A calling taking shape. And now - dental school.

When Judah Frazier first came to The Neighborhood Christian Clinic, he was looking for an opportunity to serve and gain experience in dentistry. What he found was much more.

Working alongside the Clinic's dental team gave Judah hands-on experience, mentorship and a firsthand look at what it means to treat every patient with dignity and compassion.

"Every patient was treated the exact same way," Judah shared. "The people here really care about the patients, and it's apparent in everything they do."

Now Judah is beginning his next chapter at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. We're grateful to have been one small part of his journey - and excited to see how God continues to use him through dentistry.

Sometimes a check-up reveals more than anyone expected.

When Sarah came to the Neighborhood Christian Clinic, she thought she simply needed a routine check-up - and maybe a dental exam.

But as her visit unfolded, so did her story. Sarah had been carrying anxiety and loneliness for a long time. Because the Clinic cares for the whole person, she was able to receive medical care, dental care and the opportunity to speak privately with a behavioral health counselor.

And before she left, Sarah said something else: "I'm not really sure what I believe about God, but I wouldn't mind if you prayed for me." So we did.

This is Whole Person Care - seeing and caring for the person behind the symptoms.

What does Whole Person Care mean?

A patient is more than a diagnosis.

There may be a physical need that brought someone through our doors - but there may also be anxiety, grief, financial stress, loneliness or questions about faith that never appear on a medical chart.

At the Neighborhood Christian Clinic, we care for the body, mind and spirit.

That means providing quality medical, dental and behavioral healthcare while taking the time to listen, treat each person with dignity and, when welcomed, offer prayer and the hope of Jesus.

Because restoring health is about more than treating symptoms. It's about Restoring Health. Restoring Lives.

Will you pray with us this week?

Every day, people walk through the doors of the Neighborhood Christian Clinic carrying needs that aren’t always visible. They may be looking for answers about their health while also carrying fear, anxiety, loneliness or uncertainty about what comes next.

Please pray for our patients — that they would experience healing, dignity and hope.

Pray also for our staff and volunteers as they listen, care and walk alongside each person who comes through our doors. Ask God to give them wisdom and opportunities to reflect the love of Christ in ways that meet people where they are.

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” — Colossians 4:2

Prayer is often simpler than we think.
It’s not about having the perfect words or knowing exactly what to say. Sometimes the most sincere prayer comes from a quiet and honest place in the heart:
“God, I need You.”
In moments of uncertainty, exhaustion, or fear, God still listens with compassion, love, and grace.
