🩵 OCTOBER IS DYSAUTONOMIA AWARENESS MONTH 🩵
Your nervous system controls more than you think. What happens when it doesn't function properly?
Your autonomic nervous system regulates many of the functions your body performs automatically, including heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, sweating, and temperature regulation.
When this system isn't working properly, the resulting condition is known as dysautonomia.
Symptoms may include:
💠 Dizziness or fainting when standing
💠 Rapid or irregular heartbeat
💠 Chronic fatigue and brain fog
💠 Heat intolerance or abnormal sweating
💠 Digestive difficulties
💠 Exercise intolerance
Conditions such as Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) are forms of dysautonomia that can significantly affect a person's quality of life.
These symptoms are real. They deserve to be investigated.
At Center for Neurology and Spine, we recognize the importance of evaluating autonomic nervous system dysfunction. Our specialized autonomic testing services help physicians better understand how the nervous system responds to changes in posture and other physiological challenges.
This October, we're joining the effort to raise awareness, encourage earlier recognition, and support individuals living with dysautonomia.
🩵 Awareness is the first step toward answers.
