I hope to see you there! I attend every conference and I'm happy to share my experiences. Message me if you're not sure if you should attend.

🌵IT’S OFFICIAL! Registration for the 2027 NCS Enrichment Conference is NOW OPEN! 🌵

And for our 5th conference, we’re going back to where it all began!
📅 June 3–6, 2027
📍 Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia | Scottsdale, Arizona

There’s something pretty special about bringing our 5th conference back to the Omni Montelucia. It still has the beautiful Old World Spanish charm we fell in love with, but it has also undergone a major renovation and transformation since we were last there. We cannot wait for you to see it!

If you’ve joined us before, you already know the NCS Enrichment Conference is about so much more than sitting in a conference room for two days. It’s a weekend of education, connection, networking, community, and a whole lot of fun. And if 2027 will be your first time joining us, we’re so excited for you to experience what makes this weekend so special.

Now, a quick note because we know someone is going to notice… yes, registration pricing has increased a bit this year. Just like many of you have had to adjust your rates as the cost of doing business has gone up, the cost of putting on an event like this has increased as well. We’ve worked hard to keep that increase as minimal as possible without compromising the experience, quality, and value of the conference. We remain committed to creating the caliber of event this community deserves and making your weekend in Scottsdale truly worth the investment.

And it’s not just attendee registration opening today…

🎉 Conference registration AND sponsorship opportunities are officially OPEN!

Most people think of “going green” as a lifestyle choice. In newborn care, it is something much deeper—it is a health decision. 🌱

From the air babies breathe to the products used on their skin, everyday environmental exposures can have a lasting impact on brain development, immune function, and overall well-being. The challenge is that many of these exposures are invisible, and families often do not realize where to begin.

This Earth Day 🌍, we are shifting the conversation from awareness to action.

In our latest blog, we break down what going green actually means in the context of newborn care, why it matters, and how caregivers can make practical, realistic changes that support healthier outcomes from the very beginning.

If you are a Newborn Care Specialist, nanny, nurse, or parent who wants to better understand how to reduce toxic load and confidently guide families, this is a conversation worth having.

Can you help my daughter's friend with her thesis?

The Pregnancy Loss Project is interested in how women cope with pregnancy loss and how pregnancy loss affects them. We are looking for Spanish-speaking Hispanic/Latinx women, ages 18-50, who have had an involuntary pregnancy loss, such as a miscarriage, stillbirth, or therapeutic abortion, to participate in a project about pregnancy loss, visit: https://drexel.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6R57xLl7HbmusIu
As a token of appreciation for your participation, our research team will make a one-time donation of $150 to the March of Dimes as a thank you for sharing your experiences and to benefit those who have experienced pregnancy loss.
This research study is being conducted by Pamela Geller, Ph.D. and the Women’s Health Psychology Lab of Drexel University, Department of Psychology.

The purpose of this study is to better understand how Spanish-speaking women’s experiences with medical care following a pregnancy loss relate to their emotional well-being.

Shared with Your friends
I'm heading to Uganda in just over a week. I'll be helping at a new transitional center, founded by my colleague and friend. Local caregivers are providing round the clock care for premature and medically fragile newborns with very limited resources.
At this time, the most helpful form of support is financial donation. We are in urgent need of cash donations. Financial support allows us to respond quickly and directly to immediate needs on the ground, such as medical care, emergency supplies, nutrition, breastfeeding support, and essential equipment, without delay.
Donation link:
https://whydonate.com/fundraising/support-for-preemie-babies-in-uganda-

This option supports the newborn care project and provides tax-deductible receipts where applicable. Please mention my name in your donation.
If you are unable to give financially, your support is still deeply valued. In our early startup phase, we are in urgent need of functional secondhand electronics to support daily operations, communication, documentation, and care coordination.
We especially appreciate:
Tablets
iPhones
Laptops
Devices should be in good working condition, able to hold a charge, and free of activation locks whenever possible. These tools directly support caregiving coordination, medical communication, and program operations.
I will also be taking donations with me in Micro Preemie, Preemie and Newborn sizes. If you are in the Phoenix area, we can coordinate pickup. We welcome used items in good condition, including:
One-piece outfits, sleepers, hats, and socks
Small swaddles and lightweight blankets
Cloth diapers (preemie or newborn sizes)
Burp cloths and baby bibs
Wrap-style baby carriers
🤱 Breastfeeding & Medical Supplies
New or gently used items in good condition:
Breastmilk
Manual or electric breast pumps
Pump parts and accessories
Newborn (hospital preemie bottles esp!) and 4-oz narrow mouthed bottles
Preemie/newborn ni***es and pacifiers
Infant pulse oximeters and Ambu bags
Tegaderm, small NG tubes, phototherapy masks
Thank you for your support!

I'm in the market for new doula and NCS shirts for work and was looking for a small business to support. My favorite laser engraver just announced she is making shirts again! Message her through her page if you want to order. You can choose your color and size. $22 plus $4.95 shipping unless you are local to her in Connecticut.

one quick shirt before I start! I promise the shirt thing will not take over my heart laser engraving is my passion but I do love designing these requests for clients!

Send me your request! Shop local before etsy! and this is coming from an etsy seller. the fees they are charging us are so unfair!

Thank you Aunt Ann's Staffing for hosting the raffle and having great swag at . I won an Apple watch. They gave away tea towels at the vendor table which I love using for my sourdough. Check out the beautiful tote bag every attend received. I am thankful for their support at conference each year and their dedication to the profession.
