Meet the Team Tuesday — Emmalee Bennett (…Johnson coming soon 💍)

Today we’re introducing one of the people who makes so much of what happens at Dodd Therapy Center possible: our physical therapy tech, Emmalee!

Emmalee is the kind of person who is always ready to help, and she does it with a genuine smile every single time. She takes care of all the little things (and plenty of big things, too) that keep our days moving and allow our therapists to give our patients the best care we can. Her role has a bigger impact than most people, especially her, realize. We would happily take five Emmalees if we could.

She has one of those rare servant hearts that notices what needs to be done, lends a hand, and makes everyone around her feel cared for in the process. People with that kind of genuine kindness are hard to come by, and we’re incredibly lucky to have her.

Outside of DTC, Emmalee is a runner and leads worship at her church. If you pay attention you can occasionally hear her singing around the clinic.

And we have something extra special to celebrate with her: next weekend, Emmalee is getting married to Braden! We are so excited to celebrate them and watch her begin this next chapter.👰🏻‍♀️

Emmalee, you are truly a jewel. Thank you for the countless ways you serve our patients and our team, for always being willing to jump in, and for bringing so much kindness into our clinic. DTC wouldn’t be quite the same without you!

Meet the Team Tuesday — Madison Putnam, Office Manager

Officially, she’s our Office Manager, but in reality she is the coordinator of the chaos, the keeper of the details, and the person who somehow has a solution before the rest of us have even realized there was a problem. Generally, she’s the MVP of the office (today especially😜)

Madison has a way of making the complicated feel simple. She keeps a hundred moving pieces flowing in the right direction, anticipates what needs to happen next, and quietly handles the little things that make a huge difference in the way our clinic runs.

Madison’s role at DTC is about so much more than keeping things organized. Madison is often the very first person our patients and families meet and the last person they see when they leave. She has a genuine gift for making people feel welcomed, known, and cared for, and that warmth really encapsulates the spirit of our mission.

One of Madison’s favorite things about what she does is getting to serve her community and witnessing the ways God works every day in the lives of our patients and the people around her. When she’s not keeping us all on track, you can find her tackling a craft project, serving with the kids at church, road-tripping, going to concerts, or getting invested in a good TV show.

We are incredibly thankful for the steady calm presence and behind-the-scenes magic Madison brings to DTC every single day. She may be the one greeting you at the front desk, but her impact reaches throughout the entire clinic🫶🏻

Meet the Team Tuesday — Kelsey Shoemake, COTA/L

We’re so excited to introduce you to the second half of our dream OT duo, Kelsey Shoemake! As our school-based COTA, Kelsey plays such a vital role in helping our students succeed, and we truly can’t imagine our team without her.

Kelsey is the most creative and crafty therapist, the ultimate hype girl, and one of the kindest, most loving souls you’ll ever meet. Her favorite part of being a COTA is getting to watch her kiddos grow, gain confidence, and become more independent in their everyday lives. She’s continuously celebrating all of those wins along the way, both big and small. She brings so much encouragement and joy to her students, their teachers, and our team!

Kelsey graduated from PRCC, and has now been part of the DTC family for the past 8 months. Kelsey is married to her high school sweetheart, Robert, and they have a daughter, Preston, and a son, Beckham. She is also an annual passholder at Walt Disney World, which is her absolute favorite place! And the coolest fun fact of all? She gets to work alongside her sister! How special is that!?🫶🏻

Kelsey, we are SO lucky to have your creativity, compassion, encouragement, and endless positivity on our team. Thank you for loving our kiddos so well and for being such an important part of what makes our school-based OT team so special! 📚✂️✏️✨

Meet the Team Tuesday — Alli DeVore, OTD

Today’s spotlight is on our school-based OT, Alli. She is someone who embodies exactly what you’d hope for in a school-based therapist: patient, attentive, creative, compassionate, and always ready to be a voice for her students.

Alli earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and joined the DTC family after graduation. Her favorite part of school-based OT is getting to love on her kiddos and advocate for them when they need it most. When you ask Alli her favorite memory from last school year, she’ll excitedly tell you about cheering on her students at Special Olympics, a day all about celebrating them and everything they can do!

While Alli loves working with all of her students, she especially enjoys working with older students as they prepare for life after graduation. Helping them build the daily living skills, confidence, and independence they need to take on their next chapter is one of the most rewarding parts of what she does.

When Alli isn’t changing kids’ lives (or in an IEP meeting 😉), you can probably find her traveling, reading, or working out. She’s also a newlywed to her high school sweetheart, Will, and a pug mom to Pepper! Later this year, she’ll be flying off for a two week honeymoon in Asia. And yes, Alli, we’re expecting souvenirs😜

We are so lucky to have Alli on our team as DTC continues to grow with more students and schools this year. She brings so much heart to everything she does, and our kiddos are lucky to have her in their corner 🩵

Some goodbyes are a little harder than others… and this is definitely one of them.

For those who have had the pleasure of working with Sarah, you know just how instrumental she has been in making our day-to-day flow smoothly. She has a gift for anticipating what we need and somehow having it ready before we even realize we need it. She keeps things moving, solves problems before anyone realizes they exist, and has been such a steady, dependable part of our team.

She may be quiet at first, but if you know Sarah, you know she is also hilarious and full of personality. And our patients love her just as much as we do!

As bittersweet as it is to say goodbye, we are SO excited to watch Sarah take her next step as she heads to William Carey University to begin their Doctor of Physical Therapy program! We have absolutely no doubt that she is going to be an incredible PT. She has already made such an impact on our clinic, and we know she will go on to do even greater things for her future patients.

It has been such a joy to work alongside Sarah and to be a small part of her journey to becoming a PT. And while we are incredibly proud and excited for her, some of us are taking this goodbye much harder than others. Cue the tears.🥲

Sarah, we are going to miss you more than you know, but it is going to be such an honor to watch all that you accomplish and all the lives you will change as a PT. We are cheering you on every step of the way! We are so proud of you, go do great things🫶🏻

Meet the Team Tuesday — Baylee DeVore, LPTA

Help us welcome our newest addition👋🏻
Baylee may be technically new to the Dodd Therapy Center team, but her story with DTC started long before she officially joined us!

About three years ago, Baylee first stepped through the doors to job shadow. Fast forward to this past spring, when she returned during her final semester of PTA school at PRCC as a student with us, and now, she’s officially one of our own! Talk about a full-circle moment!

Baylee is basically a ball of sunshine, positivity, and energy, and she has already made quite the impression on both our patients and our team. She has fearlessly jumped right in, found her stride, and has fit in like she’s been here all along!

Baylee says that her favorite part of being a PTA is building genuine relationships with her patients and helping them accomplish goals they may not have thought were possible. (But if we’re being honest, her true favorite part of the job is probably getting to work alongside her sister, who is also part of the DTC family!) 🥰

Baylee is a true jack-of-all-trades outside the clinic, too! She’s an incredible baker, a dedicated runner who has tackled everything from 10Ks to half marathons, and is our full-blown Disney fanatic. 🏃🏼‍♀️🍰🏰

Clinically, Baylee has a special interest in pediatrics, athletes, and orthopedic conditions, and we can’t wait to watch her continue to grow in all of these areas.

We are SO excited to have this bright, hardworking, and genuinely kind girl on our team. We’re positive DTC was always where she was meant to end up! 💙

Meet the Team Tuesday — Cassie Seager, LPTA, CSCS👋🏻

Cassie (aka, muscle mama) is the definition of someone who practices what she preaches. As PTA, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and Nutritional Specialist, she’s constantly expanding her knowledge to give her patients the very best care. Her passion for movement, strength, and recovery shines through in every session.

Known for being dependable, personable, and incredibly intentional, Cassie is always implementing interventions that help her patients recover, perform, and stay strong. Whether she’s working with return-to-sport athletes, orthopedic injuries, or post-operative patients, she builds meaningful relationships with each person she treats and is deeply invested in their success.

And when we say she’s strong, we mean it! Cassie is Fitness Depot Picayune’s first female member of the 500+ Club, earning the title with a 335 lb deadlift, 315 lb squat, and 155 lb bench press. She’s a true example that strength is for everyone! 💪🏻

Outside the clinic, Cassie is a proud mom of two. You’ll find her playing softball with her daughter, spending time with her family, or in the gym committing to be better each day!

If you’re looking for someone who will challenge you, encourage you, and celebrate every milestone along the way, Cassie is your person. Her dedication, expertise, and genuine care make her an incredible part of the Dodd Therapy Center family!

Meet the Team Tuesday — Rebecca Ladner, LPTA

Today we’re introducing another one of Dodd Therapy Center’s amazing PTAs, Rebecca Ladner! Rebecca has been part of our team for over 3.5 years, and if you’ve ever had a session with her, you know two things are guaranteed: you’ll work hard, and you’ll leave knowing someone is wholeheartedly in your corner.

She’s honest, genuine, and never afraid to challenge her patients because she knows they’re capable of reaching their goals. She is always eager to celebrate each patient’s victory right alongside them. 👏🏻

Rebecca is certified in LSVT BIG, Blood Flow Restriction Therapy, and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization. She treats a wide variety of patients, from our pediatric and school-based kiddos to orthopedic and neurological conditions, but her favorite population to work with is neuro. Her creativity, problem-solving, and intentional approach allow her to help patients overcome obstacles and build confidence in themselves both physically and mentally. (Which she says is her most favorite part of the job!)

Outside the clinic, Rebecca is married to her husband, Evan, and is the proud mom of Jordan, with a baby girl on the way! She never misses an opportunity to share a funny Jordan story or show off the latest pictures, and it’s easy to see how much she treasures her family.

Whether you know her as Rebecca, Becca, Reba, or Jordan’s mom, you know she’s the kind of therapist who genuinely cares, pushes you to be your best, and makes every visit a little brighter. Her authenticity, grit, and genuine care make her such a special part of our team! Meet the team Tuesday — Halle Landrum, LPTA

Today we’re spotlighting Dodd Therapy Center’s very first PTA, Halle! She has been with us for 4 years, and it would be impossible to count the number of success stories she’s had a hand in. Halle’s favorite thing about her job is getting the opportunity to connect with, support, and care for people from all walks of life. This is evident in her compassion and intentionality with each and every patient she treats.
Whether she’s working with complex neurological conditions, rehabilitating someone following an orthopedic surgery, or making therapy fun with our students at school, Halle’s kind and encouraging spirit and never-ending positivity are evident in each encounter. She is certified in LSVT Big for Parkinson’s and Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation among other modalities and treatment techniques.
Halle is married to her high school sweetheart, Carson. They have a daughter, Marcy Jo, who was born on an afternoon following a morning of Halle seeing patients in the clinic! (Talk about commitment to her patients!😆) Halle and her family love to spend time with their friends, especially for a sunny boat day, and her favorite thing of all is watching Marcy grow and learn new things.
