Today is a bittersweet day at Pike Road Family Eyecare.

We’re saying “see you later” to our very own Chloe (aka CoCo) as she begins an exciting new chapter. After joining our team in April 2022 while finishing her undergraduate degree, Chloe wasn’t quite sure where life would take her. Over the last four years, she discovered something special—a passion for helping people see better and a calling to become an optometrist.

This August, she’ll begin her journey at UAB School of Optometry, and we couldn’t be more proud.

If you’ve visited our office, chances are you’ve met CoCo. She’s done it all—from greeting patients at the front desk, working as an optometric technician, scribing for the doctor, edging lenses, helping patients find the perfect pair of glasses, and navigating insurance benefits with a smile. No matter where she was needed, she jumped in with a servant’s heart and a positive attitude.

To know Chloe is to love her. She’s family to us. She’s human sunshine. ☀️ Her kindness, laughter, and genuine love for people have left a mark on our team and on so many of our patients.

While we’re going to miss her more than words can say, there’s something incredibly special about watching someone discover their purpose and chase it with everything they have.

Please join us in wishing CoCo the very best as she begins optometry school. We have no doubt she’s going to make an incredible optometrist, and we’ll be cheering her on every step of the way.

✨ Meet Our Owner: Dr. Nicki Hill ✨

When you choose Pike Road Family Eyecare, you’re choosing a locally owned, optometrist-owned practice—not a corporate chain. Every decision we make is centered around providing the best care possible for our patients and our community.

Dr. Nicki Hill has proudly cared for patients in the Montgomery area for over 15 years. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Montevallo before earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from the UAB School of Optometry. She also completed advanced clinical training through the U.S. Veterans Affairs Hospital system, specializing in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease.

Many people are surprised to learn that Dr. Hill is also the owner of Pike Road Med Spa right next door! Her background allows both practices to provide a level of expertise, safety, and patient care that always comes first.

When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Hill enjoys life with her husband of 16 years, Justin, and their daughter, Ava Jo. Whether they’re spending the day at the lake, cheering on Ava Jo, or taking care of their pet axolotl, Princess Lottie, family is at the heart of everything they do.
