We would like to clarify the appropriate use of our after hours phone line so that we can continue providing the safest and highest quality care for our patients.

📱 How to reach the after-hours provider:

After regular office hours, call our office and follow the prompts to obtain the current after-hours number.
Please note that this number may change occasionally, so we recommend calling the office for the most up-to-date number rather than saving an old number.

The after-hours line is available after regular office hours only and will not be answered while the office is open.

The provider on call can offer recommendations and guidance only.

Please remember:
• This line is not for medication refills.
• It is not for scheduling or changing appointments.
• It is not for non-urgent questions that can wait until regular office hours.
• It is not a substitute for an in-person medical evaluation.
• If your child is experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

There are limitations to what our providers can safely assess through a message or phone conversation. In many situations, we cannot provide the same level of care remotely that can be provided through an in-person evaluation and examination.

If the provider recommends that your child be evaluated in person, please follow that recommendation.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in using the after-hours line appropriately. These guidelines help our providers remain available for patients who need after-hours guidance while helping ensure every child receives the appropriate level of care.

💙 So Proud of Our Compassion Team! 💙

We want to take a moment to recognize our incredible Compassion Team for the calmness, compassion, and teamwork they displayed during the terrible storm last night.

Their quick thinking and ability to work together helped keep our patients, parents, and one another safe during a frightening situation. We could not be more proud of the way our team came together when it mattered most. Their dedication truly represents what Compassion Pediatrics is all about!

As we begin our day, we ask that you please pardon our mess. Some areas of our office experienced flooding during the storm, and our team is working hard to clean up and get everything back in order.

Despite the challenges, we are open and continuing to provide each patient with the same compassionate, quality care you are accustomed to receiving from us.

Thank you to our amazing team, our families, and everyone who helped keep each other safe. We are incredibly grateful! 💙

PSA:
Just a reminder, we are open on Saturdays from 10 to 4 for any acute sick visit. No need to be our regular patients. We are simply here to serve the children who need a pediatric provider as an alternative of the Emergency Department or adult focused urgent cares.
We simply close down for the month of July to allow Staff sometime off during vacation season.
Please share so everybody knows we’re back open and ready to take care of any sick kiddo that has acute sick needs. We also do minor lacerations, x-rays and splinting for fractures, and iv hydration.

We are so proud of what our Behavioral Health team is able to do for the children of our region and obviously beyond. I would encourage all parents to educate themselves on mental health matters-signs and symptoms that could be related to their children. If you even suspect that there could be some of those signs please give a qualified pediatric mental health specialist  the chance to look deeper for you.
