Recovery is about creating new opportunities, and education is one more step toward a brighter future. 🎓

Congratulations to Kyle Maze, who earned his GED through the Big Sandy KCTCS GED program just one day before completing treatment! Kyle is one of three participants currently enrolled in the GED program, demonstrating how recovery and education can go hand in hand.

A special thank you to everyone who helped make this achievement possible, including Kyle’s TCM, Meline Baker, the team at Big Sandy KCTCS, and Riverplace Office Manager David Amburgy, who is pictured presenting Kyle with his GED.

A little encouragement can go a long way. 🪨💙

Recently, the men at Riverplace came together to add a special touch to the garden at the entrance of the building by painting rocks with positive words and inspiring messages.

Each person chose a meaningful word for a small rock and an uplifting quote for a larger one, creating a display that will welcome and encourage everyone who passes by.

The group took great pride in leaving behind something that reflects hope, kindness, and perseverance. Sometimes the simplest acts can make the biggest difference. 🌿

Some of the greatest acts of service are done without expecting anything in return. 🌱

Over the past several weeks, the men at Riverplace have worked together to clear the land, till the soil, plant crops, and care for a community garden filled with corn, beans, tomatoes, watermelons, and pumpkins.

What makes this project especially meaningful is that, as an outpatient Phase 3 facility, these men won’t be here to enjoy the harvest themselves. They chose to invest their time and effort so that those who come after them will benefit.

Recovery is about more than changing your own life. It’s about learning to serve others, give back, and leave something better for the next person. We’re proud of the heart, teamwork, and generosity these men have shown through this project. 💙🌿

☀️ Good food, friendly competition, and meaningful fellowship made for a great day at Riverplace! 🌭🎯

Our team recently hosted a cookout and co****le tournament, giving clients the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, share a meal together, and strengthen the friendships that are such an important part of recovery. The day also included an outdoor peer support meeting and plenty of time to reflect on God’s blessings. 🙏💙

To make the day even more memorable, a deer wandered up from the river and peacefully visited for a while, giving everyone a chance to slow down and enjoy the moment. 🦌🌿

We’re thankful for opportunities like these that encourage fellowship, build community, and remind us that recovery is about finding hope and purpose one day at a time. ❤️

Riverplace utilizes the best practices of clinical drug treatment combined with a core Christian discipleship program. Riverplace is a CARF-accredited, state-licensed Alcohol & Other Drug Entity (AODE) and Behavioral Health Services Organization (BHSO) Residential Program. These designations signify that Riverplace utilizes the best practices of clinical drug rehab. We have a physician as our medical director, licensed counselors and certified alcohol & drug counselors (CADCs), pastoral counselors, and trained peer support specialists staffing our treatment program.
