**Appalachian Hospice Care** is a locally owned and operated, Medicare Five-Star Hospice Agency dedicated to providing compassionate, exceptional care to patients and families throughout our Big Sandy Region. We are seeking a **full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)** to serve as the **Office Assistant to our Chief Nursing Officer and Hospice Field Staff**.
This is more than an office positionโwe're looking for a caring professional who will become an integral part of our hospice family and help us continue our tradition of excellence.
# # # What You'll Do
* Provide administrative and clinical support to the Chief Nursing Officer and hospice field staff.
* Coordinate communication between physicians, hospitals, nursing facilities, and other healthcare partners.
* Assist with patient-related documentation and records management.
* Support scheduling, correspondence, and daily office operations.
* Ensure accurate and timely communication within the interdisciplinary hospice team.
* Help maintain the high standards that contribute to our Medicare Five-Star quality ratings.
# # # Qualifications
* Current Kentucky LPN license in good standing.
* Strong proficiency in **Microsoft Office Suite** (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with physicians, hospitals, nursing facilities, and other healthcare providers.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
* Hospice or healthcare office experience preferred, but not required.
