Under this new affiliation, the University of Arkansas’ Board of Trustees officially becomes the corporate member of Jefferson Regional’s parent corporation, Jefferson Hospital Association, Inc.

The South Central Regional Campus covers an 11-county area, so we want to give a shout out to some of our MASH camps that happened in Monticello and Hot Springs last month. Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Family Services, Inc. hosted Monticello's mini-MASH and CHAMPS camps, and CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs was the spot for the Hot Springs mini-MASH camp. The summer camps invite high school students to explore futures in healthcare with a variety of hands-on healthcare activities.

MASH Camp students at Malvern (part of the South Central Regional Campus territory), wrapped up their 2-week camp at Baptist Health Medical Center in Hot Spring County June 12. The students got to view many aspects of healthcare - eye exams, physical therapy, CPR, emergency services and suturing, to name a few.

Cabot is part of the South Central Regional Campus area, so shout out to the Mini-MASH camp which took place at Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock, Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services (MEMS) in Cabot and Cabot Emergency Hospital the end of May!

Closing out the week! MASH 2026!

For our final Lunch & Learn session, we were joined by Mrs. Ajanae Johnson with State Farm, who introduced students to the importance of life insurance and auto insurance. Through an interactive activity, students gained firsthand insight into the costs, responsibilities, and value of planning for the future. At MASH, we don’t just prepare students for careers in healthcare; we equip them with life skills that help them succeed as future adults. Thank you, Mrs. Johnson, for sharing your expertise and investing in our students!

Week 2 of MASH 2026 has been incredible! Students are gaining firsthand experience through shadowing rotations in areas such as the OR, Emergency Department, Radiology, Sonography, Respiratory Therapy, and Physical Therapy.

On Friday, June 12, 2026, we celebrated our graduating residents as they successfully completed their third year of residency training. We are proud of their dedication, hard work, and commitment to providing quality healthcare.
