The Pine Ridge Service Unit Leadership Team is pleased to announce that the Pine Ridge Service Unit Hospital and Clinics have successfully completed the full Hospital Accreditation Program triennial survey and have been re-accredited for Hospital Accreditation, Patient-Centered Medical Home, and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) deemed status through June 19, 2029.
Maintaining CMS deemed status is essential to the Service Unit’s ability to continue billing Medicare and Medicaid for eligible services provided to our patients. These reimbursements help strengthen the financial sustainability of our hospital and clinics and support continued investment in patient care and operations by maximizing available healthcare resources for our communities.
The Pine Ridge Service Unit continues to lead the way within the Indian Health Service by advancing best practices, providing high-quality care, and fostering a great place to work. This achievement reflects our continued commitment to excellence in patient safety, quality of care, and service to the communities we serve, while advancing the Indian Health Service mission, in partnership with American Indian and Alaska Native people, “to raise their physical, mental, social and spiritual health to the highest level.”
We extend our sincere appreciation to our outstanding employees and staff. This accomplishment would not have been possible without your teamwork, dedication, professionalism, and commitment to our patients, our communities, and the Indian Health Service mission. Congratulations to the entire Pine Ridge Service Unit team on this outstanding achievement!
Thank you,
Pine Ridge Service Unit Team
