It is so hard to believe that today is officially the last shift for our class of 2024-2025 residents! We will miss the ones not continuing their careers at FirstHealth, but are so excited for their future endeavors in their PGY2 residencies!
We have celebrated the resident’s accomplishments over the past few weeks, as well as some of our amazing preceptors and pharmacy staff. This year’s residency class wanted to recognize Allison Cid (preceptor of the year), Susan Smith (pharmacist staff member of the year) and Heather Hall (pharmacy staff member of the year)! ⭐️
To share a few words from their nominations, written by the residents.
⭐️ “Allison has served as a great resource to those completing her rotation, working on research projects, and any clinical questions along the way. While always willing to help, she incorporates an element of teaching into every interaction. She has challenged each of us individually and served as a mentor for both clinical practice and for those pursing a PGY-2 program.”
⭐️ “Susan is the heart of the pharmacy. Early in the year, she took each of us under her wing while training in central pharmacy. We truly appreciated the effort she has taken to get to know us individually and the way she has checked in on us along the way!”
⭐️ “Heather was always there to help troubleshoot or answer any questions. She goes out of her way to prepare the IV station for both TPNs and heart cases. Heather has taken time to get to know each of us and never fails to keep the IV room lively.”
Many thanks to all of the preceptors & pharmacy staff for the support, time and efforts in making this year’s residency class a success! We are excited to welcome our 2025-2026 class on campus next week!
