🧠 FirstHealth is expanding support for patients and families navigating neurological conditions with the addition of a Neuro Nurse Navigator.

Registered nurse Marjorie Adas brings more than 30 years of nursing experience to this new role, helping connect patients and caregivers with education, resources and guidance every step of the way.

"When someone experiences a significant change in brain health, it affects the entire family," Adas said. “There are so many questions, appointments and resources to navigate. I want patients and caregivers to know they don’t have to figure it all out on their own.”

Congratulations to FirstHealth electrophysiologist Mark Landers, M.D., for completing his 400th WATCHMAN procedure earlier this week!

This procedure is an alternative treatment to blood-thinning medications to prevent a stroke. It is a small, flexible implant about the size of a quarter. The implant is placed into your heart during a minimally invasive procedure and never needs to be replaced. More than 150,000 patients have received WATCHMAN, and it has a 98.8% procedural success rate.
