🗣️💙 EVERY VOICE MATTERS! 💛🌪️

Our students are finding their voices and making them heard! 🙌✨ Through the use of robust AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices, our students are communicating their wants, needs, choices, opinions, and so much more across ALL school settings! 🏫💬

From the classroom to the cafeteria, playground, school store, community outings, and everywhere in between—our students are learning that their voice has power! 💪🗣️

AAC isn’t just about communication… it’s about choice, independence, connection, and being heard. ❤️

We are SO proud of our students for advocating for themselves, expressing what they want, and taking an active role in their school day! 🌟

Our students are building real-world job skills every single day! 💪💙💛 They’re learning by doing—serving food 🍽️, planting and caring for plants 🌱, taking orders, stocking shelves, running our school store 🛍️, selling items, and SO much more!

These experiences are about more than just learning a task—they’re about building confidence, independence, communication skills, responsibility, and a strong work ethic. 🙌

We are SO proud of our students and the incredible things they are accomplishing! 💙💛

Right near our front visitor entrance, you’ll now find something that makes us smile BIG… our very own Happiness Sign! 😊✨

The incredible story behind these signs is part of a beautiful movement started by St. Pete local Gary King — “The Happiness Guy.” His mission is simple but powerful: spread happiness and joy throughout Pinellas County and remind anyone who may be struggling that they are NEVER alone. 💛

And we couldn’t think of a better message for our Nina Harris family! 🥰

Our new sign is a daily reminder of the LOVE, RESILIENCE, STRENGTH and JOY that defines our school community EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. 💙💛

🌟 Celebrating an Incredible 35 Years! 🌟

Today we celebrate a very special person, Ms. Pat Black, as she begins a beautiful new chapter—RETIREMENT! ❤️

For 35 years, Ms. Pat has dedicated her heart, time, and talents to shaping the lives of some of our most vulnerable students. Her impact goes far beyond the classroom. She has been a constant source of love, patience, encouragement, and compassion, making a difference in the lives of countless students, families, and colleagues along the way.

A career dedicated to serving others is something truly special, and Ms. Pat has left an incredible legacy that will continue long after she walks out the doors for the last time. 💙

Ms. Pat, thank you for 35 years of love, dedication, and service. You have made a difference that cannot be measured. We are going to miss you dearly, but we are SO excited for you as you begin this next adventure!

🌈✨ SENSORY COURTYARD FUN! ✨🌈

Our Sensory Courtyard just got a FUN upgrade! 🎉 Our students now have new ride-on toys, bubble makers, pinwheels, and music makers to explore during recess! 🫧🚗🎶🌪️

Recess isn’t just about getting outside—it’s a chance for our students to move, explore, regulate, gain valuable sensory input, and EXPEND some energy! 💪💙

And let’s be honest… BUBBLES MAKE EVERYTHING BETTER! 🫧🫧🫧😍

We LOVE creating spaces where our students can play, make choices, engage their senses, and simply have FUN! 💛💙
