📋 WE’RE HIRING — QUALITY IMPROVEMENT COORDINATOR
Six 8 Meducation is looking for an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Quality Improvement (QI) Coordinator to join our team.
This position will help manage quality improvement activities for our EMS client agencies, with a focus on patient care report review, clinical and documentation quality, protocol compliance, trend identification, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities will include:
• Reviewing EMS patient care reports for clinical quality, documentation, and protocol compliance
• Identifying trends, deficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
• Tracking QI findings and follow-up activities
• Preparing routine QI reports and summaries for client agencies
• Identifying potential educational and remediation needs
• Communicating professionally with client agencies and providers
• Escalating significant clinical concerns for further review
• Maintaining accurate and confidential QI records
• Helping develop meaningful recommendations to improve patient care and provider performance
Minimum Qualifications:
• Current Paramedic certification/licensure
• Minimum 5 years of EMS experience
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of EMS protocols and standards of care
• Strong understanding of EMS patient care documentation
• Excellent written communication, critical-thinking, and organizational skills
• Comfortable working with electronic patient care records, spreadsheets, and data
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound professional judgment
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive patient and personnel information
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous QI/QA experience
• FTO, preceptor, supervisory, or leadership experience
• EMS education/instructor experience
• Familiarity with NEMSIS and common ePCR platforms
Position Structure:
This is a 1099 independent contractor position with no fixed weekly schedule. Work will be project- and workload-based, with flexibility to complete assigned QI responsibilities around your existing schedule. Hours will vary based on client volume and QI needs, making this a great opportunity for an experienced paramedic looking for flexible supplemental work.
We aren’t looking for someone to simply find mistakes. We’re looking for an experienced paramedic who can recognize patterns, identify opportunities for improvement, and help EMS agencies turn QI findings into better patient care.
