Job Type: Part-time/Full-Time

Pay rate: starts at $25.00+ based on experience, qualifications and education level

License (required within 90 days of hire): Registered Behavior Technician Certification

REGISTERED BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN (40 hr.) TRAINING- This job position has a mandatory 90-DAY term to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) from the hire date. Bay Area Behavior Consultants will cover all course fees, application and exam fees for you to earn this certificate!

Hours: 10-15 hours per week to start, Monday through Friday and Saturday when needed. Once you become a certified RBT, you can potentially increase your hours to be full-time.

Typical start time: 9 am
Typical end time: 7 pm
Work remotely: at times

This position requires:

Must be at least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or equivalent
A clear background/fingerprint check and health Screening from physician
Bilingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply!!! we are in high need of Spanish Speaking staff.
CPR training [preferred]
Reliable vehicle, a valid CA Driver’s License, and proof of car insurance
Commitment to at least 6 months to a year to our families.
A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience working with children, and adolescents.
Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lb., sit on the floor, sit on small chairs, squat, stand, jump, run/chase children, play games, be silly and engage in pretend-play with kids
Interpersonal skills needed to manage crisis situations
Willing to commute daily 20-30 mins within the Bay Area.
Must be dependable, reliable, flexible, and willing to take on constant feedback from supervisors
Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally
Must show proof of COVID vaccines.

BCBA will work with Qualified Program Supervisors and a team of Registered Behavior Technicians providing ongoing supervision (this complete team is under her/his close ongoing supervision). Also, BCBA will work with Program Coordinators to provide useful suggestions and a range of applied behavior analytic assessment and clinical services for children and young adults with autism spectrum disorders and related developmental disabilities. The BCBA provides training to ABA staff, conducts behavioral evaluations of clients, and designs comprehensive functional assessments, re-assessments, progress reports including individual support plans for patients. Setting goals, quick lessons, and High-Level therapies will also be an important part of her/his tasks.
