This week’s term is Fidelity! ⭐

In MTSS, fidelity means delivering an intervention as intended. That includes following the recommended procedures, schedule, and amount of time while making sure the practice is carried out consistently.

Why does this matter? Student progress can only be interpreted accurately when teams know the support was actually delivered as intended. Without fidelity, it can be difficult to determine whether limited progress reflects the intervention itself or its implementation.

Monitoring fidelity helps school teams make stronger decisions and gives evidence-based practices the best opportunity to support students.

It’s ! 💡

Data-Based Decision Making (DBDM) is about turning test scores and behavioral notes into actionable support for every student.

Instead of relying on gut feelings or waiting until a student falls behind, DBDM gives teams a structured framework to catch needs early, adjust instruction in real time, and make sure school resources go where they’re needed most. It’s how we move from reactive problem-solving to proactive support. 📈✨

In honor of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Anniversary, we're reflecting on what true accessibility looks like in our schools. 🏫✨

Accessibility isn’t an afterthought, it is built directly into how we teach, design environments, and support our students every day through a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.

Swipe through to see how we’re working toward fully accessible, inclusive schools for all students! ➡️

What other strategies should we keep in mind? Let us know in the comments!

Welcome to our very first ! 💡
We’ll be breaking down commonly used MTSS terms to highlight what they mean and why they matter.

First up: Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs).

EBPs give educators a reliable toolkit to match the right intervention to a student’s specific needs. By using proven, research-backed practices, we can ensure high-quality intervention and prevent students from "falling through the cracks."
