Counting breathwork techniques use rhythm and pacing to calm the nervous system, anchor the mind, and bring you back to the present moment.

One of the most effective methods:
4-7-8 breathing.

Inhale for 4
Hold for 7
Exhale for 8

This technique is commonly used to:
✔️ Improve sleep
✔️ Reduce anxiety + overwhelm
✔️ Manage cravings, anger, and emotional reactions
✔️ Ground yourself under pressure

If you feel slightly lightheaded at first, that’s normal. Your body is simply adjusting to slower, deeper breathing.

Slow the breath. Slow the mind.

Nadi Shodhana — “channel cleansing breath.”

This alternate nostril breathing practice is used to help clear energetic pathways (nadis), balance the left and right hemispheres of the brain, reduce stress, and create a deeper sense of calm and focus.

One breath at a time. Balance the system.

Proceed with caution if you have high blood pressure.

I’m playing a green sound bowl tuned around 342–344 Hz.

These frequencies are commonly connected to the Heart Chakra (Anahata), the energetic center tied to love, compassion, balance, and emotional healing.

I’ve been posting a lot of breathwork videos lately as tools to help enter a more meditative state.

This is just a reminder that meditation doesn’t always have to look like techniques, counting, or controlled breathing.

Sometimes meditation is simply sitting.
Listening.
Observing.
Witnessing.

No forcing. No performing. Just presence.

Enjoy the moment.

Let’s build.

For the last few weeks, after teaching my 6AM flow class, I’ve been taking 10–15 minutes to move, breathe, meditate, and reset before stepping into the rest of my day.

A small moment to refocus. Reground. Recenter.

Here’s a snippet from this morning’s practice.
