 At Lindburg pharmacy our commitment has always been to provide exceptional, personalized care to the members of our community. We understand that many of our patients have been affected by recent changes involving Express Scripts, and we want to explain why.
For many years we have participated in contracts with pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), including Express Scripts. Unfortunately, reimbursement rates from some pharmacy managers have increasingly fallen below the actual cost of many medications. While we have worked hard to absorb these losses for as long as possible, continuing to do so is simply not sustainable for an independent pharmacy.
Like many independent pharmacies across the country, we have made difficult decision to terminate our contract with Express Scripts. This decision was not made lightly. We understand it may create challenges for some of our valued patients, we sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause.
Our commitment to you has not changed. We remain dedicated to providing a personalized service, clinical expertise, vaccinations, and individualized care that our patients have come to expect.
If you have been affected by this change, we encourage you to contact our pharmacy. In many cases, we can explore alternative options that may allow you to receive your medications at costs comparable to your previous copays. Every situation is unique, and our team is committed to working with you to find the best possible solution.
