This year, 67 employees are celebrating their 5-year anniversary with Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas and OK! While not everyone is pictured, we are proud to recognize each team member reaching this important milestone.

For five years, these dedicated employees have cared for patients, supported colleagues, strengthened our communities, and helped advance CHC's mission. Their commitment, compassion, and hard work make a meaningful difference every day.

Thank you to each of our 5-year service award recipients for your dedication and service. We are grateful for all you have contributed over the past five years and look forward to the impact you'll continue to make in the years ahead. Congratulations on this well-deserved milestone!

After 44 years of caring and service to others, Dr. Brian Wolfe is beginning a well-earned retirement. For more than 12 years, he has been a kind and familiar face at our Iola clinic, caring for all with compassion and dedication.

Thank you, Dr. Wolfe, for the lives you’ve touched, the care you’ve provided, and the difference you’ve made in our community. Your impact will be felt for years to come, and you will be greatly missed by patients, staff, and the entire CHC/SEK family.

Congratulations on your retirement!

Oral health impacts more than smiles – it affects overall health and quality of life.

Since 2005, CHC/SEK has continued expanding dental services, growing our team, and increasing access to care across our communities. As we prepare to bring dental services back to Baxter Springs later this year, we’re helping more patients get the care they deserve.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month — a time to recognize the importance of mental well-being and the impact it has on individuals, families, and communities.

At CHC/SEK, we believe mental health is an essential part of overall health. Through compassionate care, support, and connection, we are committed to helping patients feel seen, heard, and supported every step of the way.

This month serves as a reminder that mental health care is health care — and everyone deserves support, understanding, and access to compassionate care.

On May 7, the 11th Judicial District Recovery Court celebrated its second graduation, honoring five participants who completed all program requirements. The Recovery Court brings together multiple community partners who provide supervision, resources, and guidance as participants work through five phases designed to help them build a life free from substance use and crime.
Thank you to everyone who made this event possible and to all who joined us to celebrate. And the biggest congratulations to our graduates — we’re so proud of you!

The Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas (CHC/SEK) is pleased to announce the promotion of Allison Garren to Director of Workplace Health.

Allison joined CHC/SEK in January 2022, and she most recently served as the Specialty and Workplace Health Practice Manager. In her new role, she will continue supporting workplace health initiatives and strengthening services across the communities we serve.
