We are hiring for an Adult Services Case Manager!

This role works directly with clients to help them achieve goals identified in their treatment plans. Services may include building independent living skills, overcoming daily barriers, connecting individuals with community resources, and providing support and stabilization during times of crisis.

Much of this work takes place out in the community, working alongside clients and local partners in everyday settings.

Five themes, one big reason to celebrate!

Last week, our staff marked 65 years of CCMHC with a Spirit Week rooted in our mission and history. We wore purple for recovery, black and gold for our agency colors, green for mental health awareness, showed our CCMHC pride on Logo Day and ended with 1960s Day in honor of the decade our story began.

We couldn’t capture photos of everyone who participated, but we’re grateful to all of our staff members who joined in the fun and helped make this milestone celebration special!

65 years looks pretty good on this team.

Last week, staff from across Crawford County Mental Health Center gathered for these group photos as part of our 65th anniversary celebration. These faces represent many different programs, locations and roles, all connected by a shared commitment to serving our community.

Of course, these photos do not include everyone. Some members of our team were caring for clients or keeping our 24/7 services running, but every employee is part of this milestone and the work carrying CCMHC into its next chapter.

Earlier today, Jason Southard and Michelle Coulter Morrell represented CCMHC at Pittsburg State University’s 2026 Gorilla Social Work Day.

Jason, our Director of Access, presented on Su***de Assessment and Prevention. Michelle, our Director of Adult Services, presented on the Assessment and Diagnosis of Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI).

We appreciate the opportunity to share their knowledge and experience with social work students and professionals from across the region. Thank you to Pittsburg State University for having us!

Yesterday, we celebrated together. Today, we officially turn 65.

On August 28, 1961, the resolution establishing Crawford County Mental Health Center was signed. Sixty-five years later, our agency continues to grow, evolve and serve our community in ways those who helped establish it may never have imagined.

Much has changed over the years, but our purpose remains the same: serving our community and helping people find hope, healing and support when they need it most.

This video captures a little of yesterday’s celebration and the people carrying that legacy forward today. A special thank you to Commissioner Tom Moody for generously providing refreshments for our staff.

We are proud to be named the Division I winner of this year’s Paint the Town Red decorating contest!

This year’s theme, “Gus Through the Decades,” celebrated Pittsburg’s 150th anniversary. Our team chose the 1960s, tying the theme to Crawford County Mental Health Center’s own 65th anniversary.

Thank you to the Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce for bringing our community together each year for PTTR, and to every staff member who helped bring our groovy display to life! ✌️✌️

Gus went groovy for Paint the Town Red as we celebrate the decade when Crawford County Mental Health Center’s story began. We were founded in 1961, so the ’60s were the perfect fit for our “Gus Through the Decades” display.
