We meet monthly for supported communication groups for people with Aphasia, their families, caretakers, and SLPs.

-We shared information regarding:

-We then broke off into our small groups!
• Topic Group: Fall Potluck and Activity Planning - The group finished planning the Fall Potluck on October 21st!
• Game Group: Jeopardy - We had so much fun playing Family Feud this week!
• Open Conversation Group: It was great catching up with everybody today!

• Topic Group: Content Creation for Instagram - This group started a short video where they shared one word that describes the support group.
• Game Group: Two Truths and a Lie - We shared three things about ourselves, and the group guessed which one was not true!
• Open Conversation Group: A small group today, but such great conversations!

What a successful Aphasia Amble & Picnic!

We had an amazing turnout and loved seeing our community come together for an afternoon filled with walking, conversation, connection, and fun. It was wonderful to see so many individuals with aphasia, families, caregivers, and friends joining us and supporting one another.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event such a success. We are so grateful for our incredible PCAC community and look forward to many more opportunities to connect!

September 23rd Recap:

-We then shared information regarding:
    • Update 1 - Aphasia Amble & Picnic
    • Update 2 - Wonderbooks
    • Update 3 - Advocacy Group Meeting Date
    • Update 4 - Art Quilt for New Pitt Building
    • Update 5 - Kathleen’s Member Spotlight

-We then broke off into our small groups!
     • Topic Group: Fall Potluck and Activity Planning - This group helped start planning for a fall food potluck for October 21st. They came up with different activities, games, and food options.
     • Game Group: Jeopardy - We had a “Jeopardy” style trivia game with aphasia, autumn, Pittsburgh, and pop culture facts/trivia.
     • Open Conversation Group: A small group today, but such great conversations!
