Meet Your Therapist: Anita Herbulock, Licensed Clinical Social worker

About Me:
Greetings! With over 20 years of experience as a Licensed Social Worker, I bring warmth, empathy, and collaboration to our therapeutic journey. Specialization:
I specialize in supporting teens and adults through the unique challenges of adolescence and adulthood, with a particular focus on trauma, grief, anxiety, depr

ession, and substance use are areas where I offer expertise, understanding the profound impact these issues can have on mental health. Therapeutic Focus:
My therapeutic focus includes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and targeted interventions for anxiety, grief, substance use, and depression. CBT is employed to identify and reshape negative thought patterns, fostering healthier behaviors and coping mechanisms. EMDR is a powerful and evidence-based approach that aids in processing and healing from traumatic experiences. It allows for the reprocessing of distressing memories, reducing their emotional charge and promoting resilience. Comfort in Telehealth:
Recognizing the demands of our fast-paced world, I offer telehealth services to enhance accessibility. Connect with me conveniently from your own space, whether you're a busy professional, a student, or simply prefer virtual sessions. Our secure telehealth platform ensures a user-friendly and effective therapeutic experience. Approach to Therapy:
My integrative therapeutic approach draws from cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and humanistic perspectives. Focused on the therapeutic relationship, we collaboratively explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, fostering insight and positive change. For those navigating trauma, EMDR is seamlessly integrated into our sessions, providing a targeted and supportive healing process. Collaborative Journey:
Therapy is a collaborative venture, and I am here to offer guidance and support. Together, we'll harness your strengths, establish achievable goals, and work toward a more fulfilling and balanced life. If trauma is part of your journey, rest assured, our approach will be tailored with care to address your unique needs.

Weekend Reflection

Ask yourself:

What am I tolerating that is costing me my peace?

Sometimes growth isn't about adding something new - it's about deciding what you're no longer willing to carry.

Sometimes people are not "too sensitive." They have just spent too long carrying stress, pressure, disappointment, grief, or anxiety without enough support.

Trauma can impact the way we think, feel, react, and connect with others- even long after difficult experiences have passed.

You do not have to navigate healing alone.

Quick update — my virtual grief support group starts this Wednesday, and I still have a couple of spots open.

If grief has been feeling heavy or isolating, this is a small, supportive space to talk and connect with others who truly get it.

Feel free to message me if you want details or are thinking about joining. ❤️

Grief can feel really isolating, especially when it seems like everyone else has moved on or doesn’t understand.

I’m starting a very small virtual grief group — not a big commitment, not overwhelming, just a space to be around others who get it.

If you’ve been thinking about something like this, you can message me privately. 💙

I wanted to share this again in case it reaches someone who needs it. đź’™

If you’ve been feeling like you’re “holding it together” on the outside but struggling more than people realize… you’re not alone.

I’m starting a small virtual grief support group in May. This will be a supportive, low-pressure space (5–6 people), and you can share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with.

đź—“ Starts May 6th at 7pm
đź’» Virtual
đź’˛ $30/session

If you’re even thinking about it, feel free to message me privately or email me at [email protected]. I’m happy to answer questions.
