James T. McLaughlin Training Program In Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Listen, understand, interpret, and explore the in-depth psychological approaches to the complexities of the mind. This psychodynamic psychotherapy program is aimed at helping mental health practitioners deepen their work with their patients/clients. You may participate in Year One without making a commitment to the Advanced Year course.



What to Expect
The program, which is offered remotely, provides rich and clinically relevant readings on theory and technique. Class sizes are small and structured somewhat like a study group. The goal is to provide a comfortable environment for learning and useful resources for professional growth. A group of diverse clinicians and academics usually comprise the course membership. Various professions, ages, and years of experience make for an interesting mix of perspective and a lively learning environment.



Eligibility
The psychodynamic psychotherapy training program is designed for participants who are trained and licensed in the fields of psychology, social work, counseling, psychiatric nursing, medicine and psychiatry. If you are not currently licensed, but are working toward licensure, you may ask for an exception. Exceptions are granted on an individual basis.



All participants are expected to participate in Year One as a prerequisite to participating in the Advanced Year of the course unless permission is granted based on prior psychodynamic training.
