Your gut has a lot to say about how you feel.

Chinese Medicine has recognized the connection between digestion and overall wellbeing for thousands of years.

When digestion isn’t functioning at its best, you may notice more than stomach discomfort. Bloating, changes in appetite, fatigue and that heavy or sluggish feeling can all be clues that your system needs some attention.

That’s why digestive health is something I consider when looking at the whole person, even when digestion isn’t the main reason someone comes to see me.

Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine aren’t about chasing one symptom at a time. They’re about asking what else the body may be trying to tell us. 🌿

Your body notices the seasons changing, too. 🍂

In Chinese Medicine, late summer is its own season - a time associated with the Earth element and a natural transition from the outward energy of summer toward the slower rhythm of fall.

It’s a great time to focus on grounding: nourishing foods, consistent sleep, gentle movement and creating a little more space in your schedule.

Acupuncture can be another tool to help support the body through seasonal transitions - especially when you’re feeling tired, scattered, stressed or simply “off.”

The goal isn’t to fight the change. It’s to help your body move with it. 🌿

📅 Updated Fall Hours

Beginning the week of August 31 through Friday, October 23, my hours will be shifting to:

Thursdays & Fridays | 9 AM–8 PM

Like many of you, fall brings a shift in routines with back-to-school schedules, kids’ activities, and fuller calendars. This temporary change will allow me to adjust to the season while continuing to best serve my patients and provide the care and flexibility you need.

I look forward to seeing you on Thursdays and Fridays! 🌿

Back-to-school season isn’t just an adjustment for kids. 📚🍎

Earlier mornings, packed schedules, sports, homework, lunches, meetings and constantly being on the go can throw the whole family out of its summer rhythm.

In Chinese Medicine, transitions are an important time to support the body rather than simply push through them. Acupuncture can help your system adjust by supporting:

✨ Stress and nervous system regulation
✨ Better, more restorative sleep
✨ Digestion as schedules and eating patterns change
✨ Energy and focus
✨ Immune support as everyone heads back into classrooms and busy environments

As routines ramp back up, it’s a good reminder that your body may need a little help finding its rhythm again, too.

Back to school. Back to routines. And maybe, back to taking care of you. 🌿

Stress has a way of settling into the body - but your body also has an incredible ability to find balance. 🌿

During this treatment, we focused on calming the nervous system using acupuncture points on the tops of the feet, including Liver 3 (Taichong) - one of the most commonly used points in Traditional Chinese Medicine for stress and emotional well-being.

✨ These points are often selected to help:
• Calm the mind and reduce feelings of stress and anxiety
• Ease tension throughout the body
• Support healthy sleep
• Encourage the smooth flow of Qi (your body's vital energy)
• Promote a greater sense of balance and relaxation

When we're under constant stress, our bodies can become stuck in "fight or flight." Acupuncture helps encourage the shift back into "rest and restore," allowing your body to do what it was designed to do - heal.

Every treatment is personalized because no two patients experience stress the same way. Together, we choose the acupuncture points that best support your body's unique needs.

💚 Sometimes healing begins with simply giving yourself permission to slow down.

One of the best things I ever did for my patients wasn't learning acupuncture... it was committing to never stop learning.

Years ago, I adopted a simple habit: dedicating time every week to learning.

Most days, that means listening to educational podcasts during my drive to and from the office. Those podcasts often lead me to books, research articles, and entirely new areas of study that help me better understand health and healing.

One thing I've noticed over the years is almost uncanny. As I'm learning about a new topic, patients often begin walking through my door who need that exact information.

I truly believe staying curious has made me a better practitioner.

Healthcare is constantly evolving. New research emerges, our understanding deepens, and what we once believed isn't always what the current evidence supports. That's why I believe it's so important to continue learning rather than relying solely on what we learned years ago.

Every podcast, every article, every book is another opportunity to better serve the people who trust me with their care.

I'm grateful that learning isn't just something I did in school - it's become part of how I practice every single day.

Because when I grow, my patients benefit too. 💚

Tiny but mighty. 💚
What if your acupuncture treatment could keep working after you walked out the door? That's exactly what this little patch is designed to do.

This tiny patch contains a micro press needle placed on an acupuncture point to provide gentle, continuous stimulation between treatments.

This one is placed on Pericardium 6 (PC6) - one of the most well-known acupuncture points for helping to:
✨ Calm the nervous system
✨ Reduce stress and anxiety
✨ Promote relaxation
✨ Ease tension and support emotional balance

When life feels overwhelming, simply press gently on the center of the patch for 20–30 seconds while taking a few slow, deep breaths. It's a simple technique that can help reinforce the calming effects of your acupuncture treatment throughout the day.

Sometimes the smallest treatments can make the biggest difference. 💚

Have you ever tried a press needle as part of your acupuncture treatment?

Last week, a patient gave me a wonderful compliment…..she called me a Needle Ninja!🥷 because the needles went in and came out so swiftly and painlessly she wasn’t sure how I did it, yet she was left feeling so comfortable and at peace so she knew they were working. This patient in particular described it like this: “it was like I was comfortably nailed to the table”

Perfect!👌

It takes a lot of practice needling to be a Needle Ninja and I am honored to be called that!😆🙏

🌿 Why I Believe in Integrative Medicine

One of the reasons I love what I do is because I believe healing happens when we look at the whole picture - not just one symptom.

In my practice, I combine the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine with an integrative approach, considering things like stress, sleep, nutrition, hormones, movement, lifestyle, and overall health. Everything in the body is connected, and addressing those connections often leads to better, longer-lasting results.

It's not about choosing Eastern or Western medicine - it's about using the strengths of both to support your health in the most effective way possible.

✨ When we take a step back and look at the bigger picture, that's often where real healing begins.
