Sound baths are like a massage for the nervous system. The sounds and vibrations guide your brain and body into a more relaxed state. Your body releases tension. Your brain finally gets a break from the constant thinking. That's it, in a nutshell.

Red light therapy is now available at Monroeville — not currently at Wilkinsburg.

Clients who’ve added it to their bodywork or come in for standalone sessions are seeing pain relief that lasts longer, better tissue tone and healing, and fewer bodywork appointments needed overall 🙌🏼

Forward head posture doesn't just affect the neck.

When your head moves forward, the rest of your body adapts to manage the load. Over time, those compensations can become symptoms.

The visible changes you see in these photos came from working on the soft tissues and addressing some of the factors that were contributing to both the posture pattern and the symptoms that came with it.

Common contributors include stress, muscle imbalances, screen habits, and workstation ergonomics.

A dreary Sunday afternoon is the perfect time for a sound bath. There are so many benefits, but here are a few reasons to keep in mind today:

1. It’s probably not a pool day.
2. You get time alone with no tasks or obligations.
3. It’s an easier way to meditate and tone your nervous system.
4. It helps boost your mood and energy - so you can be more productive later.
5. You're just curious to try it in person.

Come alone and have the hour to yourself, or bring a friend and make it a thing.

Today at 2!

Some new clients come to me as a last hope for pain relief. They've been tested, medicated, and passed from specialist to specialist — only to be told they might just have to live with it.
Not always, but often, working with the body's soft tissues — fascia and muscle — changes the story.
Showing clients the changes that can happen in just one session helps restore hope.

I've been working with two different clients this month who saw doctors that recommended surgery—and in one case, even amputation ‼️—for hammer toes that didn't respond to traditional conservative methods like splinting and taping. Those methods did not include therapeutic massage.

Out of curiosity, I decided to try a few things, including massage and red light therapy. The changes have been surprising and exciting.

Whatever the final outcome, both clients now have something they didn't have before: renewed hope and determination to keep moving toward something better.

"So, what do you actually do?"
It's the question I get asked more than any other — usually by someone who's been referred by their doctor, yoga teacher, or a friend — and isn't quite sure how this is different from other massage therapies.
I finally wrote the answer down — everything from why you keep your clothes on, to why lighter touch often does more than you'd expect, to the before and after photos that make people say "wait, is that really me?"

An inside look at the work that makes people say, "You just have to experience it."

Years ago, a client gifted me a sound bath session. I sat on it for months — maybe even a year — not sure it was my thing.
When I finally went, time felt like it melted, and so did every bit of tension I was holding.
Of course I returned, expecting more nirvana, but that time my mind never stopped chattering. And yet, I still felt better than when I walked in.
Fast forward another year or two: I decided to become a sound bath facilitator, because it expanded the options for people to relax, unwind, and heal. In the process, my own nervous system became less reactive and more resilient!
Sound bath isn't just a nice experience — it's a self-care practice. A reliable way to tend to your nervous system the same way you'd tend to anything else that matters.
Resonant Rest grew out of that realization. A weekly session here in Monroeville, for anyone looking for a different way to come back to themselves.
