Why does vibration matter?

Building vibration isn't always audible, but it can still affect how a building and its equipment perform.

Mechanical equipment, transportation systems, nearby construction, and other sources can introduce structural vibration. Depending on the building and its use, vibration may create structure-borne noise or interfere with vibration-sensitive spaces and equipment.
