The Rooted Way Wellness Services for Those Seeking Whole Health Care. ((Previously known as Pittsburgh Psychotherapy Associates.))

At Pittsburgh Psychotherapy Associates therapy is, at its very core, a collaborative effort between the therapist and the client. This process sheds light upon how we are, who we are, and gives people a greater understanding about living as fully, authentically, and compassionately as possible. People who seek therapy often do so because they desire to encounter life in a richer, more meaningful way. Others may be coping with a life problem or issue that has them feeling "stuck." Whatever the reasons people choose therapy, it is possible for them to transform negative attitudes toward living and make some quite astonishing and lifelong changes. Although the focus is on the relationship, there are many other aspects of therapy which contribute to the healing and growth process. At Pittsburgh Psychotherapy Associates, our therapists have experience in symptom management and application of techniques associated with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectic behavioral therapy (DBT) as well as psychodynamic and family systems therapy. Our goal is to help facilitate and nurture change in the attitudes, choices, behaviors, and thoughts of our clients through awareness, increased understanding and authenticity. Appointments are now available on weekdays, evenings and weekends for individual psychotherapy for adults, children and teenagers, marital and couples counseling, and family therapy. The path to wellness begins with the first step. Contact us today:

World Mental Health Day 🌿

Mental health is more than what happens in our minds. It’s how we feel in our bodies, how we navigate our relationships, and how we show up in our everyday lives.

Today is a reminder to slow down, check in with yourself, and give yourself permission to prioritize your well-being. Whether it’s through therapy, movement, mindfulness, or simply taking a moment to breathe, small steps toward caring for yourself matter.

At The Rooted Way by Pittsburgh Psychotherapy Associates, we believe in caring for the whole person: mind, body, and everyday life. You deserve support, space to heal, and the opportunity to grow. 💚

Grounded Healing. Intentional Growth. 🌱

🎒 Back-to-school is a big adjustment for parents, too.
New schedules, earlier mornings, homework, activities, work, and all the juggling in between can quickly leave you feeling overwhelmed and exhausted.

Parents often put themselves last—but you deserve support, too. ❤️

Therapy can be a space to process the stress, navigate changes, set boundaries, and reconnect with yourself.

You don’t have to wait until you’re overwhelmed to ask for support. 🌿

We’re here to support you and your family at the Rooted Way! Give us a call today to schedule your appointment 412-367-0575 or wearetherootedway.com

Back to school can bring big changes—for kids and parents alike.

New routines, new expectations, new teachers, and new social experiences can bring excitement, but they can also bring anxiety, overwhelm, irritability, sleep changes, or difficulty adjusting.

As the school year gets underway, it can be tempting to think, “They’re doing better, so maybe we don’t need therapy anymore.” Sometimes that’s true. And sometimes, the return to school is exactly when continued support can make the biggest difference.

Therapy doesn’t have to be forever. It can simply be a place for kids to process what they’re experiencing, build coping skills, and have a safe person in their corner while they navigate change.

💚 Support doesn’t mean something is wrong. Sometimes, it’s simply a way of helping kids feel more confident, capable, and grounded.

Let our clinicians at The Rooted Way support you. We have great clinicians who work with children and adolescents.
