The 2026 EMSCO of Berkshire County Awards Dinner was a true success, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the evening possible.
This year, we welcomed an amazing turnout of 205 attendees, including responders, family members, sponsors, and several survivors whose presence made the evening even more meaningful. It was a powerful reminder of the strength, compassion, and connection within our EMS and public safety community.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our keynote speaker, Nicole Ferry, for her incredibly powerful, personal, and resonating presentation. Nicole’s message touched the entire audience and served as an important reminder of the unseen challenges faced by those in EMS, public safety, and helping professions. Her honesty, strength, and perspective left a lasting impact on everyone in the room. If you ever have the opportunity to hear Nicole speak, we highly recommend it.

This year’s dinner was especially meaningful for another reason. Over the past several monthly meetings, the EMSCO of Berkshire County Board has voted to establish two new funds that will directly impact local responders.
Following additional planning and policy development, EMSCO will begin building a Disaster Relief Fund for local responders experiencing sudden loss, life-changing injury or illness, or line-of-duty death. In addition, EMSCO has established a Scholarship Fund to help support initial and continuing EMS education opportunities within our communities. Each fund has a dedicated EMSCO committee responsible for management, planning, and policy development.
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, donors, and dinner guests, we are proud to announce that this year’s awards dinner raised over $6,600 toward these new funds and the continued mission of EMSCO: caring for our own.
