We want to give a huge shoutout to Boy Scouts Troop & Pack #17! They recently dropped off a fantastic haul of food donations collected from the area. These items will help stock our employee pantry and restock smaller food pantries throughout Pike County.

A clinical trial is a research study where experts study potential treatments. The treatments might be new drugs or devices. Clinical trials must meet specific standards and regulations. Should you decide to join a clinical trial, know that your well-being is the clinical trial team’s top priority. And you can leave a trial at any time.

Did you know we have volunteer opportunities at our Illini and Hannibal locations?!

Volunteers are a critical component of Blessing Health System. Hundreds of volunteers contribute tens of thousands of hours supporting our staff, patients, and families across dozens of departments each year.

Meet Teresa Frazier, for instance... Teresa worked at Illini for 55 years (1961-2016)... and then, soon after her retirement, she turned to volunteering her time!!

As we pause to honor the brave this Memorial Day, we also know that everyday health needs don't take a holiday.

If you need medical attention... It's important to know where to go.

The Blessing Health Express Clinic, Walk-In Clinic, Hannibal Walk-In Clinic, and Illini Express will remain open for the long weekend.

Memorial Day Schedule:
Walk-In Clinic: 6 am – 9 pm.
Blessing Express Clinic: 8 am – 5 pm.
Hannibal Walk-in: 9 am – 4 pm
Illini Express: 8 am - 11 am

If you haven't already, NOW is the time to get signed up for our upcoming FREE Cholesterol and Wellness Screening!

It is a no-cost screening to tell you your numbers. This screening includes the following: Total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, fasting glucose, blood pressure, body composition and, for those who qualify, an A1C screening.

The screening takes place at the Pike County Senior Center on Thursday, June 4. You can register for any available seat in the 15-minute time slots from 7:30 - 9:30 a.m.

Cholesterol screening requires a 12 hour fast for all participants and measures total cholesterol, HDL, LDL triglycerides, fasting glucose, blood pressure, body composition, and for those that qualify, an A1C screening. (A history of diabetes/pre-diabetes, or elevated fasting glucose is required for the A1C screening.)
