One of my favorite parts of this work is getting to walk alongside clients through different seasons of their lives. 🤍
Some I’ve worked with for years. Some come back during a new chapter. I’ve sat with clients through infertility, pregnancy, postpartum, motherhood, relationship changes, grief, and everything in between.
I’ve always considered myself a pretty real, relatable, slightly non-traditional therapist. I believe in boundaries, but I also believe therapy can still feel human.
Sometimes that means remembering the little things. Sometimes it means celebrating a milestone. And sometimes it means giving a client a book like Good Moms Have Scary Thoughts because it feels like the perfect extension of the work we’ve been doing together.
Perinatal mental health is so much more than postpartum depression. It can be anxiety, intrusive thoughts, rage, guilt, identity shifts, overwhelm, and learning how to hold two truths at once: you can love motherhood deeply and still struggle.
This relational, long-term work is such a big part of why I love what I do.
And right now, I do have a few openings at Metanoia Therapy Collective for moms, women navigating pregnancy/postpartum, and adults looking for a more down-to-earth approach to therapy. 🤍
