🕺 Sunshine, 70’s beats, and serious shoulder shimmies! 🪩✨

Plainfield delivered the ultimate blue skies and gorgeous sunshine today, so naturally, we had to take the party outside! ☀️ We cranked up the funk, traded the indoor workout for the open air, and got our groove on to the best classics of the 1970s.

We didn't just exercise—we danced! Our residents gave their arms, legs, and necks a great workout, topped off with some five-star shoulder shimmies that had everyone laughing and feeling fabulous. 😎💃

🎹 Piano Tunes & Hymns: Enjoy musical performances with On the Piano w/ Carol on Tuesday at 3:00 PM, and a Plymouth Church Visit with Pastor Beagle at the piano on Friday at 10:30 AM! 🎶

🎉 Family Feud & Game Nights: Test your trivia knowledge with Family Feud on Friday at 1:30 PM, Name That Tune on Wednesday at 10:30 AM, and Game Night at 6:00 PM!

After an inspiring presentation, everyone couldn't wait to dive in and spend some cozy time reading together. The energy was so infectious that family members are already signing up for our upcoming Literature Club—and the best part? The public is welcome to join, too! 📖💚

Are you creative, compassionate, and passionate about enriching the lives of seniors? The Oasis of Plainfield is looking for a energetic, dedicated Activity Director to lead our life enrichment team and bring joy, movement, and engagement to our residents every single day! 💚

📋 Key Responsibilities:
🗓️ Program Planning: Design, schedule, and lead a diverse monthly calendar of social, educational, therapeutic, and recreational activities (crafts, fitness, games, music, outings, and holiday parties).

🚐 Transportation & Outings: Drive the community van for resident excursions, outings, and local appointments.

📰 Community Communications: Publish the monthly community newsletter, manage calendars, and lead quarterly seminars for residents and families.

🤝 Resident Engagement: Partner with the Resident Council, interview new residents to learn their personal interests, and tailor activities to their preferences.

👥 Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers and activity staff while managing the department budget.

💼 Key Qualifications:
📜 Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL if applicable).

🗣️ Strong verbal and written communication skills with a heart of compassion for seniors.

🧩 Independent problem solver with conflict management and budgeting skills.

💪 Ability to lift/push 50+ lbs and stand/walk for up to 8 hours.

⏰ Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
