Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain, and it is one of the most stubborn to resolve.

The plantar fascia is a thick band of tissue that runs along the bottom of your foot from the heel bone to the toes. It supports the arch and absorbs shock with every step you take. When that tissue becomes irritated or develops small tears, it gets inflamed and painful, especially at the point where it attaches to the heel bone.

Most people feel it worst with their first few steps in the morning. The fascia tightens overnight, and when you stand up and put weight on it, the stretch causes a sharp pain in the heel. It usually loosens as you walk, but the pain tends to return after sitting for a long period or after being on your feet all day.

Laser and LED Light Therapy may help support the healing of the plantar fascia by delivering light energy directly to the inflamed tissue. The cells in the fascia absorb the light and use it to produce more ATP (the energy they need for repair). This may help reduce the chronic inflammation that keeps the tissue irritated.

At Pain and Wellness Group, we pair this therapy with chiropractic evaluation of the foot, ankle, and lower leg mechanics. Because the way your foot strikes the ground is connected to how your ankle, knee, hip, and lower back all move.

You started a walking routine because your doctor said you needed to be more active. Two weeks in, your lower back is flaring up and your knees ache by the afternoon.

Now you are stuck between two things you know you should do: lose weight and not make your pain worse. It feels like there is no way to do both at the same time.

At Pain and Wellness Group, our Weight Loss Program was designed for exactly this situation. We pair nutritional counseling and lifestyle coaching with chiropractic care so your body stays supported while you make changes.

Our doctors make sure your spine and joints are moving well enough to handle increased activity. If something is restricted or compensating, they address it so your workouts work for you instead of against you.

This is not a one-size-fits-all diet plan. It is a coordinated program that recognizes that weight loss happens in a body that also needs to feel good enough to keep moving.

When you hear "laser therapy," your mind probably goes to something out of a science fiction movie.

It is nothing like that. You lie down. A handheld device is placed on or near the area that needs attention. The laser sends light energy into your tissue, and your cells absorb it. You do not feel it cutting. You do not feel it burning. Most people feel a slight warmth or nothing at all.

What is actually happening under the surface is that the light energy is giving your cells a boost. The mitochondria (the energy producers inside each cell) absorb the light and use it to make more ATP, which is the fuel your cells run on. When cells have more fuel, they can repair damage, calm swelling, and restore healthy tissue more effectively.

At Pain and Wellness Group, our Laser and LED Light Therapy pairs cold laser with LED light and electric stimulation. It is used for conditions like chronic pain, joint problems, nerve pain, muscle injuries, and more.

Each session is quick, painless, and completed in a course of 10 to 12 visits. No drugs involved. No downtime. Just light energy helping your body do what it already knows how to do.

Most pain has more than one cause, and that is exactly why it needs more than one solution.

A stiff lower back might start with a restricted joint. But the muscles around that joint tighten to guard it, your posture shifts to avoid the sore spot, and over time the tissues in the area become inflamed and irritated. Now you have a joint problem, a muscle problem, a posture problem, and a tissue problem all feeding each other.

Treating just one of those layers usually brings short-term relief. The pain dips for a few days, then comes back because the other layers are still there.

At Pain and Wellness Group, our holistic approach means we look at all of those layers together. Chiropractic adjustments restore proper joint movement. Laser and LED Light Therapy supports tissue healing at the cellular level. Massage therapy releases the chronic muscle tension that pulls your body out of balance. Physiotherapy and rehab build the strength your body needs to hold its progress.

But the most important part of our approach is you. We walk you through what we find, explain why it matters, and teach you what you can do between visits to support your own healing. That is what it means to become the leader of your own health.

You should never feel like a passenger in your care. You should understand your body, your plan, and your role in getting better.

Millions of people take pain relievers for headaches every week. For some, those medications are essential and appropriate. But for others, the headaches keep coming back, and the medication becomes a routine rather than a solution.

There is a category of headache that responds particularly well to chiropractic care: headaches that start in the neck.

These are called cervicogenic headaches (head pain that originates in the cervical spine, the neck). They tend to follow a pattern: pain that starts at the base of the skull, travels forward, and often comes with neck stiffness or tension. They are often made worse by prolonged desk work, looking down at a phone, or sleeping in certain positions.

When the joints of the cervical spine become restricted or stop moving properly, they can create referred pain (pain felt somewhere other than where the problem is) into the head. The muscles around those joints tighten in response, adding further pressure. Over time, if the underlying joint restriction is never addressed, the headaches keep returning.

Chiropractic care addresses the root of the pattern rather than just the symptom. By restoring proper motion to the restricted joints in the neck and upper back, our doctors may help reduce how often those headaches occur and how intense they are when they do.
