Joe is a Project Executive with EW Howell Construction Group, has been a lifelong Long Island resident and a committed supporter of Angela’s House since its inception in the 1990s. Joe’s connection to the organization is deeply personal, shaped by the very events that led to the creation of Angela’s House and its mission to support medically fragile children and their families. Over the years, Joe has helped build a strong circle of support by engaging colleagues at EW Howell, trusted subcontractors, and close friends who share his dedication to the
families served by Angela’s House. His long-standing involvement reflects both his professional leadership,
his heartfelt commitment to the community and family.

Today marks the 82nd anniversary of D-Day, widely regarded as one of the most significant moments of World War II. On this day in 1944, American troops and allied forces landed in Normandy and commenced the liberation of Europe. Today, we honor the bravery and sacrifices of those who served for the cause of freedom.

The recent topping off ceremony at the Elizabeth Seton Children’s Young Adult Center was featured in Westfair Business Journals! This major milestone in the project's construction, attended by team members, partners, and stakeholders, marked the placement of the final beam. We have several updates to share regarding our ongoing Bronx Animal Care Center & Veterinary Clinic project! Masonry work has been completed, with roofing nearing substantial completion as well. From here, the project has transitioned into sitework and interior progress. Additional ongoing items include interior finishes and bathroom tile installation. Overall, project progress has been steady as we approach completion slated for later this year.

EW Howell Construction Group recently completed the Science & User Support Center (SUSC) for Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL). Spanning 75,000 square feet, this building serves as the main welcome center for guests, researchers, and facility users arriving at the lab. The SUSC is also the first building planned for Discovery Park, a new vision for the gateway to BNL.

Key features of the SUSC include workspace for over 250 employees, as well as space for collaboration and conferences. Last month, the BNL SUSC was recognized in the Long Island Business News 2026 Real Estate, Architecture & Engineering Awards, being honored in the Top Office Building Projects category.

This past Monday, the Elizabeth Seton Children's Young Adult Center project reached another major milestone with its topping off ceremony! Project team members, partners, and stakeholders were present to witness the placement of the final structural beam, which many attendees had signed beforehand. Here’s to the continued success of this remarkable project!

Construction Safety Week 2026 is in the books, and we at EW Howell Construction Group are proud to share its rousing success! Throughout our offices and project sites, our safety culture was promoted and bolstered at all levels of our organization.

To achieve this, team members at our Plainview office received a LifeVac presentation and training in NARCAN, stop-the-bleed, and compression-only CPR. Additionally, we organized toolbox talks, safety stand-downs, and other informative events across our numerous project sites.
