✨ Week 4 of 4 ✨
I want to start off by saying Ashley’s experience is uniquely hers, and everyone’s journey will look different.
Over these last 6 sessions, Ashley noticed that she was able to respond to stress differently, recover more quickly, and become more aware of tension in her body. She also began using breathing and humming techniques at home to help herself slow down before reacting to stressful situations.
We tracked her experience through our Pre-Session Surveys looking at stress, overwhelm, physical tension, calmness, racing thoughts, and her ability to take a deep breath comfortably.
With this scoring system, higher scores reflect greater stress/tension and a less regulated state. Lower scores reflect a better ability to down-regulate and an improved stress response.
Her score went from 59/100 → 43/100!!
What I love most is that the numbers gave her something tangible to look back on. Sometimes during a session, you may not immediately feel a difference, and that’s exactly why tracking your experience can be so valuable.
For Ashley, the biggest takeaway wasn’t simply feeling relaxed during these sessions. It was learning to become more aware of her body, recognizing her stress response, and having tools she can continue using in everyday life. Sometimes the first step is simply becoming more aware of what your body has been trying to tell you.
Your nervous system is constantly responding. The goal isn’t to never experience stress—it’s learning how to respond, recover, and return to a calmer state.
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, overstimulated, tense, constantly “on,” or like you have a hard time coming back down after stress, know that there are tools and options available to support you.
