A friend and fellow practitioner shared with me; “You can’t have an authentic practice if you can’t be your whole, true self.”
That quote has stayed with me lately.
For much of my life, I believed showing up meant pushing through, carrying on, and focusing on everyone else’s needs regardless of what I was carrying myself. Over the past year, I’ve learned that authenticity sometimes means acknowledging when you’re not ready, when you’re still healing, and when you need time.
One of the reasons I remain on a leave of absence is because I want to return as the most genuine version of myself—not simply because enough time has passed. Healing isn’t something that can be rushed, and I believe the care I provide is best when it comes from a place of presence, wholeness, and authenticity.
I miss my patients, my work, and the connections we’ve built over the years. Your continued kindness, patience, and support have meant more than I can express.
For now, I am still focusing on healing and recovery, and I remain hopeful about returning when the time is right.
Thank you for walking this journey with me. ❤️
