Big talent. Big determination. National champions!

Congratulations to Plano West Senior High seniors Selma Zamarripa and Kelly Morefield, our Outstanding Students of the Month!

Selma and Kelly earned the 2026 SkillsUSA National Championship in Audio Production, taking home the gold after advancing through district and state competitions. Their creativity, technical skills, teamwork, and countless hours of preparation earned them the highest honor in the country.

We’re proud to celebrate these incredible Plano students and the bright futures ahead of them!

26 years ago today, my grief journey began with the death of my dad. He was a man who loved baseball and music. He was funny and gave great hugs.

There is not a day that I don’t miss my dad and wonder what life would have been if we could have had more time. 🤍
