What a special moment for the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center Plano!

Our Past President, Kim Gleason, and President-Elect, Diane Danks, had the opportunity to tour the new expansion tower at Children’s Medical Center Plano.

The new courtyard is named in honor of the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center Plano!

As Diane shared, “It is a wonderful tribute to years of the dedication and hard work of all our members.”

And we couldn’t agree more!

👻 BOO SOMEONE FOR A CAUSE!

This might be one of our favorite ways to kick off spooky season! 🎃

We joined the BOO Yard Sign Challenge benefiting Children’s Health, picked up our sign at Animal Crackers in Plano (and did a little shopping while we were there, obviously 😂), grabbed some fun treats and headed out to secretly BOO a friend!

Here’s how it works:

👻 Grab a BOO Yard Sign for $25 — with pickup locations all over Plano!
🍬 Pick out a few Halloween treats
🏡 Secretly BOO a friend or neighbor with the sign + treats
🔔 Ring the doorbell and RUN before you’re spotted!
📲 The QR code and directions on the back show them how to keep the BOO going

Then watch the BOOs start popping up around Plano all October long!

We just kicked off a new year with the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center Plano, and it was such a good reminder of why I love being part of this group.

I know joining something can feel like one more commitment on an already full calendar, but this truly meets you where you are. Lead an event, make no sew blankets, donate needed items or help with one project that fits your schedule. There isn’t one “right” way to be involved.

Throughout the year, we support patients, families and staff while raising funds through the Boo Campaign, Love & Mahjong, Red Paddle Pickleball, Deck the Halls, Santa’s Workshop, Staff Appreciation Gift Wrap and our Legacy of Love Luncheon.

It’s meaningful, flexible and one of the best things I do all year.
