🎒 Friday Tips with Brian Winningham, DC
Summer is coming to an end, which means it’s almost time to head back to school! Before the backpacks are packed, here are a few simple tips to help prevent neck, back, and shoulder pain:
✔️ Choose a backpack with wide, padded, adjustable straps.
✔️ Wear both straps—don’t carry it on just one shoulder.
✔️ Don’t overpack! A backpack should weigh no more than 10–15% of your child’s body weight.
A few small changes can make a big difference in keeping your student comfortable and injury-free throughout the school year.
📚 One more back-to-school reminder: Make sure your student has completed their back-to-school physical. If you haven’t scheduled one yet, we still have appointments available—but they fill up quickly!
