🌟Meet Our Resident of the Month, Mike C.!🌟
From the panhandle of Texas to the halls of education, our resident of the month, Mike Collinsworth, has a life story that truly hits all the right notes!
Born in Pampa, Texas, in 1950, Mike grew up in a lively household alongside his two sisters, Kathy and Melinda. After graduating from Pampa High School, his journey led him to Canyon, Texas, where he attended West Texas State University to study Music Education—the perfect training ground for his future career.
Mike eventually married the love of his life, Carolyn, and together they raised their daughter, Erica, in Plano, Texas. Mike’s professional life was defined by a deep commitment to the classroom; he spent a decade sharing his love for music as a teacher in Plano ISD. Driven by a desire to make an even bigger impact, he transitioned into leadership, serving as a middle school principal in the district for an incredible 29 years. His secret to success? A passion for supporting and working right alongside his teachers to elevate the educational experience for everyone.
These days, you can find Mike enjoying a well-deserved, quieter pace of life. Whether he’s reminiscing about past travels to visit his daughter in beautiful Honolulu, Hawaii, or simply catching his favorite sports on TV, he stays active and engaged in his own way. If you’re looking for him around Wyndham Court, he’s likely tucked away with a good book and a refreshing soda pop.
Join us in celebrating Mike this month—a man who spent nearly four decades shaping young minds and is now a cherished part of our community!
