National Recovery Month đź’™
September is National Recovery Month, a time to recognize the courage, strength, and resilience of people navigating recovery.
Recovery can look different for everyone. It may mean healing from substance use, working through mental health challenges, rebuilding relationships, developing healthier coping skills, or simply learning how to move forward one day at a time.
And recovery doesn’t have to be a straight line. There may be setbacks, difficult days, and moments when progress feels hard to see. Those moments don’t erase the growth that has already happened.
At My Counseling Connections, we believe people deserve support without judgment. Therapy and skills-based approaches, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), can help individuals build healthier coping strategies, manage difficult emotions, strengthen relationships, and create a life that feels more meaningful and manageable.
This National Recovery Month, let’s celebrate progress in all its forms and remind ourselves that asking for help is not a sign of weakness. It’s a step toward healing. 💙
If you or someone you care about could benefit from support, we’re here to help.
