WELCOME ISABELLE TO THE TEAM! 💚

We’re excited to welcome Isabelle Puckett, M.S., SLP-CF, to The ProAACtive SLP team. ✨

Isabelle grew up in Shasta Lake, California, and earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from California State University, Chico.

During her studies, she developed a passion for Augmentative and Alternative Communication, also known as AAC, and supporting individuals with diverse communication needs. 🗣️

She is excited to work with families at The ProAACtive SLP and begin building meaningful connections with our team and clients.

It’s Apraxia Awareness Month. 🗣️✨

Apraxia can feel scary at first, but it does not mean your child cannot communicate. 👇

Apraxia affects speech planning, not your child’s desire to connect. Your child may know what they want to say, but their brain has a harder time coordinating the movements needed for clear speech.

Communication can happen through gestures, signs, pictures, AAC, facial expressions, and sounds. Every attempt matters. 💬

With the right support, practice, and patience, your child can build confidence and make progress over time.
