We’re now well into Father’s Month, but we still want to celebrate all the dads who helped little voices grow! 💚

Your guidance, patience, and encouragement made a world of difference in every word and conversation. 🗣️

If you spent time talking, reading, or listening, you shaped confident communicators and that impact lasts beyond just one day. ✨

A communication board is a visual tool that helps AAC users express their thoughts, needs, and feelings using pictures, symbols, or words.

Communication boards don’t “force speech”; they build access to language, independence, and connection.

Hi Families!
🏅 The ProAACtive SLP's Community Resource Spotlight: SportsAble 🏅

Looking for a fun, supportive, and inclusive sports program for your child?

SportsAble is an adaptive sports program created by a local high school student, Prajan, who was inspired by his younger brother with autism. The program is designed to provide children with disabilities opportunities to stay active, build confidence, develop social skills, and enjoy sports in a welcoming environment.

💙 Why families may love it:
-Beginner-friendly and inclusive.
-Focuses on confidence, participation, and fun.
-Individualized support and encouragement
-Opportunities for social interaction and skill development
Prajan has already facilitated multiple successful sessions and is currently looking for additional families who may be interested in participating.

Why do we send toys home for therapy practice? 🧸

Because practice works best when it feels natural.

When kids use familiar toys at home, therapy skills can become part of everyday routines instead of feeling like homework. 🏡

It also gives families a simple way to reinforce what we worked on in the clinic and support carryover between sessions.

Want therapy strategies that fit into your child’s daily routine? Reach out to our clinic to ask about evaluation options. 📩

Sensory bins are more than play. They can support language, too. 🔍

For kids who enjoy hands-on activities, sensory bins can create natural opportunities to practice communication, attention, and receptive language. 💚

You can hide beads, toys, or small objects in kinetic sand and turn it into a treasure hunt.

Then, model simple language like:

“I found green!”
“Look for yellow.”
“You did it! It’s purple!” 💬

Looking for speech and language support? Our clinic can help you explore the next step. 📩
