☀️ Herbal Recipe | Summer Cooling Tea

As the summer sun reaches its peak, many of us are carrying more heat than we realize, not just in our bodies, but in our nervous systems.

One of the simplest ways to support yourself is with a nourishing cup of tea.

🌿 Cooling Summer Tea Blend

• 2 parts lemon balm
• 2 parts peppermint
• 1 part tulsi (holy basil)
• 1 part rose petals
• ½ part hibiscus

Steep 1–2 tablespoons in 10 oz hot water for 10–15 minutes. Enjoy warm in the evening, or chill and pour over ice for a refreshing afternoon tonic.

Each herb offers its own gift:
✨ Lemon balm calms an overworked mind.
✨ Peppermint gently cools and refreshes.
✨ Tulsi supports resilience during seasons of stress.
✨ Rose softens the heart and lifts the spirit.
✨ Hibiscus is rich in antioxidants and brings a tart, vibrant finish.

This is the kind of wisdom women have shared across generations, knowing what grows around them, tending the land, and allowing the garden to nourish not only the body, but the soul.

At Cultivate Homestead Retreat, we’ll gather to rediscover these traditions together. Through herbalism, homesteading, food, and community, we’re creating space to remember the healing that has been here all along.

🌿 What herbs are growing in your garden that you’re reaching for this summer?

The only thing better than coming to the Cultivate Women’s Retreat for rest and restoration is coming to learn incredible hands-on skills from some of the best. We offer a unique, small-group, hands-on learning environment that many have likened to “summer camp for moms.”
This year’s workshops include homemade tallow products, archery, sewing, natural dyes, & more!

Hey friends 👋🏼

Anna Maria here, and I am happy to support the Cultivate team this year in preparation for the retreat 🙌🏼 I really admire and appreciate Lacy and Kellyn for their unique work in the world and their desire to create and offer Cultivate truly from the goodness of their hearts ❤️

A quick little snapshot into life on the farm where we manage multiple enterprises, much like many of you are. All the while raising little humans, caring for community, and holding onto our own health and peace.

We run a CSA market garden, integrate perennials, raise animals like pigs, poultry, sheep, and goats. My focuses are herbalism and bees while my husband shines through permaculture education and design.

We started with land that hadn’t been touched in quite awhile and six years later it is a thriving ecosystem.

I can’t wait to see you at the retreat this year and catch up on another year of farming and homesteading.
