Family support group is for those families or friends who have a loved one with a mental illness and Connections is a support group for those with a mental health condition. Today we were grateful to have a table at the Unity in the Community event in Pleasantville, standing together against gun violence and supporting a safer future for our community.

Thank you to AtlantiCare, the City of Pleasantville, and everyone who helped bring the community together with resources, food, music, activities, and support. We are always honored to show up, connect with families, and be part of the work toward healing, peace, and unity. ❤️

One of the most beautiful parts of what we do is staying connected with people while they are in treatment programs and continuously on their recovery journeys. We send out lots of little care packages with things like string for friendship bracelets, coloring books, recovery books, clothing, toiletries — and we get so many messages back from people telling us how much it means to them.

Today, we received this beautiful card from the staff and young ladies we originally me during street outreach and now they are in a long term program that we have been sending items to, and it truly touched our hearts. They have been using everything we send, creating beautiful things, and even making pieces to send back to us. These small acts of love and connection remind us why this work matters so much. ❤️

We are putting this out into the universe with hope!!

As our services continue to grow, we are realizing how much we could truly benefit from having another reliable vehicle, especially an SUV or minivan.

While we are incredibly grateful to have a cargo van to help transport donations, supplies, food, clothing, and outreach items, we also transport people. We help community members get to important appointments, services, and supports, and we also provide transportation for clients to and from our wellness workshops on Friday and Saturday nights.

The minivan we currently use is still an important part of our work, but the air conditioning is not working right now, so we are also looking into getting that repaired.

Having an additional SUV or minivan would make a huge difference in helping us safely and comfortably transport the people we serve. If anyone knows of a reliable vehicle that someone may be willing to donate to Angels in Motion - Atlantic County, please reach out to us.

We know this is a big ask, but we also know this community has such a beautiful heart. A donated vehicle would go directly toward helping vulnerable individuals and families in Atlantic County and would truly be used for the good of the people. ❤️
