Occupational therapy turned functional training into an engaging tabletop challenge! 🧩🎲
Laura worked on dynamic standing balance and stand tolerance while using the walker for support, completing a fun fine motor coordination activity at tabletop level. Activity encouraged active use of the involved extremities while promoting improved coordination, balance, endurance, and functional participation.

Finding his voice again! 🗣️💙

After surgery that removed his voice box, Timothy Breneman faced the challenge of learning a new way to communicate. With the support of our Speech therapy and Occupational therapy team, he has made incredible progress using both an electrolarynx and a speech generating AAC device.

What began with understandable anxiety has transformed into confidence. Timothy now practices communicating with staff and fellow residents every day, and his determination shines through in every conversation.

We are so proud of Timothy‘s hard work and remarkable progress he continues to make. His journey is a powerful reminder that there is always a way to find your voice!!🤩

☀️ Happy Summer from AristaCare at Meadow Springs! ☀️

Our residents had a wonderful week making memories together with a seahorse painting class 🎨, an exciting game of Yardzee in the sunshine 🌿, inspiring Bible stories 📖, and a refreshing discharge walk celebrating progress and new beginnings. Every activity is an opportunity to bring joy, connection, and purpose to each day. 💙
